were they planning to do cliff diving? no, but again, this is the right sort of idea
Does the wedding involve an airplane? the space shuttle? a glider? Hang glider? some kind of slingshot? trebu-- treb...catapult? a skyscraper? A tightrope? trapese? being shot out of a cannon? trampoline? parasailing? parachuting from something other than a plane? Into the Grand Canyon? not exactly any of these, and yet...

Ok, we're talking about a couple right? A man and a woman?
The couple planned to put themselves in a dangerous place for their wedding?

The blunt force trauma they are risking, does it include "high speed" dirt (impacting the ground at un-safe speeds)?
Are they going to climb to this place? Be carried? lifted? shot? flung? teleported? driven? taking an elevator? climbing stairs? fly in some kind of vehicle? a gondola? ski-lift?

Is there not enough air at the peak to effectively go through the vows? Were they planning to ski down once they got to the top?

Are they climbing in a cave? Are they climbing a rock formation of any kind?

Is the plan is to make several climbs?
Are they spelunking, climbing outside, or some of both?
Are they travelling from one location to another that involves some climbing and other tasks?

Or is the misapprehension that both are climbing? Does one wait for the other atop a mountain, or inside a cave? Do they both climb/spelunk/otherwise travel?

Is the 'aisle' walked down in the ceremony vertical? Is it through a cave or up a rock face? 'Cause that'd be cool.

Are they travelling from one location to another that involves some climbing and other tasks? well, yes, but what they are basically doing is mountain-climbing. It's just that...

Or is the misapprehension that both are climbing? no - the misapprehension has not to do with the number of climbers, but with... Does one wait for the other atop a mountain, no or inside a cave? no Do they both climb this one /spelunk/otherwise travel?

Is the 'aisle' walked down in the ceremony vertical? well, I suppose that would be a possible way of looking at it Is it through a cave or up a rock face? neither 'Cause that'd be cool. cool things do not happen in woubit puzzles. He is a grumpy old man these days.

Mmm.. So the quantitative misapprehension does not invlove the number of climbs, nor the number of climbers... Number of thing(s) climbed?
Are there other people or other entities involved?

If number of things climbed, is it a mountain range or chain that we're talking about? A country being transversed? A planet?

And this is a tad confusing:
Are they climbing in a cave? yes
Are they spelunking, climbing outside, this one or some of both?

Is it a canyon or gorge? Iceberg?

Are there other people or other entities involved? well, there is the celebrant, who is a little more than preipherally involved. And there are the congregation, but they are not really very much involved at all. Even the ones who always cry at weddings.

If number of things climbed, is it a mountain range or chain that we're talking about? there are two mountains involved A country being transversed? A planet?

And this is a tad confusing:
Are they climbing in a cave? yes sorry about that. No idea where that one came from at all :( They are not climbing in a cave. They are climbing two mountains. One each.

Curiouser and curiouser... So they each climb a mountain, and meet in-between... is there a tightrope? Cable car? Zip line (if that's what those are called)?

Is the plan to leap off the peaks? To be suspended between them? To balance on something between them?

Will they use any sorts of vehicles to meet in-between? Any special equipment, such as safety equipment (parachutes, repelling ropes, etc.)?

Will they be at a distance above ground where falling would mean death?

Will they meet on a third mountain? On some other structure? Natural structure? Manmade? Or will the meet in air between the mountaintops?

Curiouser and curiouser... So they each climb a mountain, and meet in-between... exactly and precisely so :) is there a tightrope? well, not a tightrope. Just a rope. Or, to be exact, more than one rope. Cable car? Zip line (if that's what those are called)?

Is the plan to leap off the peaks? no To be suspended between them? yes, indeed To balance on something between them? no

Will they use any sorts of vehicles to meet in-between? Any special equipment, such as safety equipment (parachutes, repelling ropes, etc.)? just ropes

Will they be at a distance above ground where falling would mean death? yes, indeed

Will they meet on a third mountain? On some other structure? Natural structure? Manmade? Or will the meet in air between the mountaintops? this one. To clarify: the bride will climb one mountain, the groom another. Each, supported by a rope (or arrangement of ropes) will meet the other in mid air between the mountains in order to exchange vows. The priest has his own arrangement of ropes, but this does not matter much.

In view of the above, what is it that this marrying couple had better not do, with respect to each other as it were?

Of course... However I was suggesting that it would probably be a good idea not to have others involved; I suppose the priest is a bit of a given, unless he gave the sevice with the aid of amplification, both audial and probably visual... :)

I would think that the bride better not be pregnant before attempting this unique nuptial experience also...

Tie the knot? an even better answer :) In fact...

***** SPOILER *****

Where the earth meets the sky

An Indian couple are to get married while suspended by ropes between two mountains.

Ashriwad Ayre and Bharti Patil will wed at 2,000ft between Duke's Nose and Duchess Peak at Lonavala, near Mumbai.

Harnessed to a rope, the groom will move towards the centre of the gap from Duke's Nose while his bride will come from Duchess Peak.

A Hindu priest, suspended from another rope, will conduct the 45 minute ceremony.

The couple, both keen climbers, wanted their wedding to reflect their passion for mountaineering.

The 150 guests will gather on a plateau on Duke's Nose to witness the 28-year-olds tie the knot.

If they did that, it would be impossible for them to get back to their respective mountains. They'd better not.

Well done Johanna, thanks everyone.
