Ok... still trying to narrow this down. We've established that he was on Isabela island... the 'biggest' as it were.... There are hiking trails... and volcanos... Was he near (and by near I mean within penguin walking distance or short swim)... a volcano? If so... Wolf? Darwin? Sierra Negra? Alcedo? Cerro Azul? a city? If so... Puerto Villamil? Santo Tomas? That unofficial one near Wolf? One of the coves or bays? If so... Tagus? Urbina? Elizabeth? Shipton? Darwin's Lake? Did he land on a cruise ship by accident? Did Wendel get high on something and imagine all these other things I've asked about? What kind of penguin fantasizes about fake doggy poop? |

But close enough for a ***************SPOILER******* The Galapagos penguin lives the furthest north of any species of penguin, but usually stays on the southern side of the islands. The brave Wendell decides one day to venture to the northernmost point, inadvertently crossing the equator and making himself the only wild penguin in the Northern hemisphere. He was soon joined by the rest of his colony. |
