Sarah was five minutes late for her appointment with Tony. When she arrived, he told her to leave, even though they would have had plenty of time to do most of what they were planning to do, and he wasn't offended by her tardiness. What's going on?

title related?

Will they still do what they were going to do?
If not,
her lateness related?
Perhaps causeed by the same thing as the calling it off?
He was mad about something else?

Had something unexpected happen to change Tony's mind during the intervening five minutes?

Was Sarah offended when she was asked to leave? Did she comply?

Were they spies, and he said "it is time to take your leave" and she said "autumn is late arriving this year" and then they exchanged secret documents?

Had something unexpected happen to change Tony's mind during the intervening five minutes? unexpected by Tony, perhaps. Not unexpected by Sarah.

Was Sarah offended when she was asked to leave? possibly Did she comply? yes

Were they spies, and he said "it is time to take your leave" and she said "autumn is late arriving this year" and then they exchanged secret documents? nothing this exciting, I am afraid

Would this thing that annoyed Tony have happened if Sarah had arrived on time? (If not...Because it couldn't have happened with her around? Because they would have been on their way somewhere else?)

Was it an issue that Sarah was lare, or was it just a conicidence that this thing happened during that particular 5-minute window?

Was Tony angry about something he had seen? heard? remembered? something that popped into his head?

Would this thing that annoyed Tony have happened if Sarah had arrived on time? it would be less likely (If not...Because it couldn't have happened with her around? Because they would have been on their way somewhere else?) neither of these

Was it an issue that Sarah was lare, or was it just a conicidence that this thing happened during that particular 5-minute window? it was not a coincidence

Was Tony angry about something he had seen? heard? remembered? something that popped into his head? something he deduced as a result of things he heard and possibly things he saw

Is Sarah the client? Is Tony?

Is the professional role:

Stockbroker?
Bookmaker?
Escort?
Probation officer?
Sales?
Accountant?
Hairdresser?
Mechanic?
Personal trainer?
Piano teacher?

Is this relevant?

Was the meeting for the express purpose of the professional providing his/her services in exchange for payment by the client?

Was the meeting planned to take place at Tony's house? At Sarah's house? At Tony's workplace? At Sarah's workplace? At a restaurant? Somewhere else?
Do Tony and Sarah work at the same place?
Had Tony invited Sarah to meet with him at this time? Or had Sarah requested a meeting with Tony at this time? Or had a 3rd person arranged the meeting between Tony and Sarah at this time?
Was the meeting scheduled in the morning? Lunchtime? Afternoon? Evening? Late night?
Had Tony and Sarah ever had a meeting in the past that was similar to this one? Or was this meeting to be the first of its kind?
Did Sarah have to travel a long way to get to the meeting place? Did Tony?

Was the meeting for the express purpose of the professional providing his/her services in exchange for payment by the client? The meeting was for the express purpose of Tony providing Sarah with a piano lesson

Did Sarah travel to the lesson by walking? In a car? Public transit? Other?
Was Sarah late due to something unusual?
Did something happen at the place where Sarah departed from that caused her to be late? Did something delay Sarah while she was on the way to the lesson?
Did Tony do anything relevant during the five minutes that Sarah was late?
Something like...call Sarah's house and ask if she had forgotten about the lesson? Stand at the window and watch for Sarah? Tinker around with whatever musical instrument he was tutoring Sarah on? Check his schedule book to be sure that it was really time for Sarah's lesson?
Was there another person with a lesson prior to Sarah's? Was this person's lesson still going, and ran five minutes into Sarah's lesson time?

Is Sarah's age relevant? Is she a child? young adult? adult? elderly person? She is certainly at least a teenager. In the situation on which the puzzle is based, she was around 20.
Is Sarah human? yes, but I am curious - are you aware of any non-humans that can play the piano?
Does Sarah arrive at Tony's alone? yes (And do keep in mind that "Tony's" refers to Tony's workplace, not Tony's home. This is relevant) Is someone with her? no

Has Sarah been late before? is Tony trying to teach her a lesson in punctuality? I was a music major in college, and if we were late or unprepared for our lessons, sometimes our lesson teachers would refuse to give us our lesson until we were "ready" for it...
