Their sanity?
Something of monetary value?
They = humans?
They = 2? 3? more than 5? 10? 100? etc.
They = living beings?

Robbed of their dignity?
Their sanity?
Something of monetary value? This is mainly what I meant
They could be robbed of literally anything but .. not their money

They = humans? Yes
They = 2? 3? more than 5? 10? 100? etc. more than 100

Do people take things off them other than their money?
Do they not take their money because it would be worthless? Because taking it might have negative consequences?
Do they take their jewelry? dvd players? everything except their money?

Hi Simon - how's tricks?

The connection between 'they'... Do 'they' all live in the same city? country? continent? relevant?
Do 'they' all have the same profession? same religion?
Do 'they' have a lot of money? relevant?
If 'they' were to give me some money, would I be able to spend it? If I were to steal 'their' money, would I be able to spend it?
Would it be particularly difficult to steal their money?

Not bad John - plodding on - how's you? Are you still at Uni? (When are you going to update your website? ;-))

Do 'they' all have the same profession? no same religion? noish
Do 'they' have a lot of money? varies
relevant? not especially
If 'they' were to give me some money, would I be able to spend it? Yes
If I were to steal 'their' money, would I be able to spend it? Technically yes but in practice , most unlikely
Would it be particularly difficult to steal their money? Yes

Is this money in the form of cash? credit cards? bank accounts? cheques?
Is it in a form that requires one to present identification in order to spend it?
Are "they" all the inhabitants of the country? or just some?
are "they": more than a thousand? more than ten thousand? more than a million?

still in Brum for now - heading to edinburgh for a master's degree next year. Will update the website when I find the password :D

Do they all live in Europe? N. America? S. America? Australasia? Africa? Asia?
(I was going to say the Vatican - but then they would more than 'noish' have the same religion...)
Is it relevant what currency their money is? US dollars? pounds sterling? euros? Something less common? The currency of the country in which they live?
The money that people wouldn't steal - is it in the form of cash? Might people steal money from them electronically?
Would it be difficult to steal their money because it is well-guarded? well hidden? in a remote place?

Anything like the (ancient) Spartans' money going on? Is the currency something too large to carry off, like, say, the statues on Easter island? Or something not used for currency in most places, like trees or cattle or land or something? Or does it even exist in tangible form?

I believe they used very large, heavy coins worth very little each, making it somewhat inconvenient to carry around large sums of money without a trolley or wheelbarrow--kept inflation to a minimum, though. I could be all wet on that--Google or maybe Wikipedia could probably clarify.

Is their currency man-made? Is it owned by individuals? Is it possible for one to determine who owns a particular hunk of cash by looking at it (assuming one knows what to look for/at)?

Here's a quote from Wikipedia: "Spartan currency consisted of bars of iron, thus making thievery and foreign commerce very difficult and discouraging the accumulation of riches." The quote is from here.

Is the currency in the form of tattoos or similar? so removing it would be physically impossible?
Can they spend their currency? amongst each other? in the UK?
Do they live on an island? in the pacific? atlantic?
Is the intrinsic value of their currency relevant? would it be worth a lot purely as an artefact?

Would it be helpful to find out what currency it is ? (Like Dolar, Pounds, Rupees etc)
Is it in notes ?
Coins ?
made of paper ? Plastic ? Metal ? leather ? Others ?
Has anyone robbed them of their money, only to find out later that it can not be spent ? Or it it IMPOSSIBLE to rob them of their money ?

Has anyone robbed them of their money, only to find out later that it can not be spent ? I know of no robbery but a robber would find it near impossible to spend

Is there a static total amount of money amongst them? Do they destroy any? Create more?

Is all the money in the same place?

****************** SPOILER *******************

On the island of Yap in Micronesia, they leave their money lying in the streets but it never gets stolen. For one thing you’d need a forklift truck to move the money (made from huge hunks of stone) and you’d never be able to spend the money because the money always stays where it is (even after changing hands – so to speak). And in anycase everyone knows who owns each item of the currency.
