weapon questions were more to establish type of army and time frame So it's before guns were in general use, yet the man flew out of danger? Was this in the present century? previous century? 1800s? 1700s? before this? Did the man start from ground level and go upward? Directly vertically? or more in the manner of an aircraft taking off? Did he travel from a higher piece of land to a lower area? powered flight? Something with an engine? Steam? petrol engine? pedal power? animal power? |

Well I'm a bit confused: the object is powered but it doesn't produce thrust? Does it only produce lift? Does Bob lift off to escape? Does a part of the object allowing him to escape stay on the ground? stay attached to Bob? Is it a sort of catapult? Is anything exploding? Timeframe: is the story set before the 'first human flight' say around 1900? |

So we are meant to find out about an item which... -you thought up -did never exist -would not fly, even if being built ? Did someone else think this up? Book? Movie? Was it visible to the army that he would be able to fly? Would it be visible to an observer from modern times (that the item is most probably meant to fly)? Does the thing he used fit into the same time frame as the weapons (so no solar cells etc.)? Did the item have wheels? Did it have an inside where he could sit/stand? |

Well, Plebian got it mostly right, so I will post a... ******SPOILER This story is from Arabian Nights.Three magicians built a magical horse out of ebony. The prince wanted to try it, so the magician showed himm the "up" button but not the down one. He finally found it, and landed in a distant kingdom. He wanted to marry the princess, so he offered to fight an entire army and stay alive. The king said he could have any horse he wanted, but the only horse he wanted was the magical horse, then he escaped! great job, everyone! |
