I admit that my questions from Sunday weren't particulary subtle but I don't think that they were unusual or useless at this stage of the puzzle. I did ask them with the intention to solve the puzzle and not to annoy you or anybody. If you include comments like those in your answers I (and maybe others) won't post any more questions.
That is a pity because I quite liked this puzzle.

Quite. Anyone finding questions about the dimensions of an object (when we've been asked to determine what the object is) annoying maybe hasn't been involved in many lateral puzzles!
If a range of these type of questions has been presented, it's usual to simply answer Yes to the appropriate one. Which allows the puzzlers to move on to more 'interesting' matters.

You've said earlier that this is (or was) the first "something". Are there more than one of these today? Would it be possible to have others of this thing? (obviously there could only be one first one, but that obviously doesn't preclude others existing)

Come on guys - we already went through the "how large questions?". When doing then a again it would have been good to start at "House" = YES and end at "Country" = NO - see post 22! You are actually quite close - track back through the last few posts and extract the Yes answers and hopefully you should get the answer!!

Both yours and Tobasis questions duplicated what had already been asked. If something is described as larger than a house, it does appear far from logical to start measurements at 1mm.

Additionally after answering that it was higher than 100m you asked whether it was the Chunnel - something which is below sea level - with the openings not much higher.

I apologise for the sarcasm

Don't give up on this one - you have got very close

The Belgian motorway system is the only man-made structure visible from the moon (at night, due to the lights all along the motorway network).

***SPOILER***

Absolutely spot on. The Belgian motorway network is the only fully illuminated motorway network - which means it is the ONLY man made object visible from the moon at night. Not much more to add except a few explanations:

Only one in the world - as above
BBC Programme - Top Gear - Jeremey Clarkson was driving the Mercedes SLR to Norway and had to drive through Belguim and mentioned it.

How can you tell - is taken from a song by the comedian Mitch Benn - "The French are coming to get us" in which he sings

yes the French are coming to get us
And the Spanish are coming as well
And apparently so are the Belgians
But then again how can you tell
And there all in the pay of the Germans
But the Germans are really from mars
That's why there so tall and they've brain washed us all
Into making inferior cars
