A man visits many consecutive hotels during his trip. In each hotel, the staff is less and less polite and treats him more and more coldly. I guess this will be solved quickly. |

Hotel: those buildings where people stay in when they are on holiday? Anything unique about them? Were they budget hotels? average ones? luxury ones? Is he human? adult? male? Is he alone? Are they justified in treating him thus? Is there something about his behaviour? His physical appearance? The way he smells? Something he is carrying? or has with him? Is he drunk? Does he go to a new hotel every month? every week? every day? every few hours? every hour? less than that? Are all the hotels in the same country? |

Were they trying to dissuade him from staying there? Did they think he was a hotel inspector and for some perverse reason they would benefit from a bad report from him? Did they know that he had stayed in a hotel before their own? Did they all know about each other? Did what he was carrying appear worse to the later hotels than the earlier ones which is why they were even more impolite? |

Is he carrying something that's alive? Something that you normally take to a hotel? Could they have refused him entry? Was it just politeness, cold as it was, that made the staff accept him? Were they being politcally correct by not rejecting him totally? Was he testing them? |

Something to do with his suitcase? other luggage? His coat? Hat? Did this thing look exactly the same (physically) at every hotel he went to? Did this object make him seem dangerous? make him seem rude? disrespectful? Did they think he would mess up the hotel room? thrash it? Did they think he was poor? and so look down on him? |

If one of the later hotels did not that he had been to other hotels previously, would they be impolite to him? Did he leave the other hotels because he had been kicked out? did he cause any trouble at the previous hotels? |

Did the suitcase have some type of tag? YES that would indicate that he was rude? Yesish indicate he did not tip the staff? YES See? I told you it will be quick Ivan was travelling through Russia and he didn't tip the staff in any hotels. The staff exacted revenge on him by painting an X with chalk on his suitcase. At the time, it was a global symbol through most of the hotels in the country that the guy doesn't tip anyone. |
