If she had ripped the photo up, just by, say, tearing it in two, would she be able to repair the photo to the point where she wouldn't have cause to regret it?
Does she, in fact, regret the fact that she's destroyed the photo?
Was she attempting to destroy only the part of the photo with her Ex on it?

(Sorry for possible upcoming repeats, but I need a clearer image of this photo, so to speak
The thing that Sarah destroyed was a photograph, correct?
This photograph was printed on paper, correct? (photographic paper or plain paper?)
This photograph had her ex-husband in it, true?
Was she also in the photo?
Any other relevant people in the photo?
A passport-sized photo?
An 8x10" portrait size?
Bigger?
Much bigger?
And there was something glued to the photo, true?
...Hang on - Stamp sized??

Was it something that was of direct value such as a £50 note?

Or was it something that could have been converted into money such as a valuable postage stamp?

Or was it something that would have lead to money such as a map, instructions, a will?

I couldn't answer because I couldn't connect to the forums yesterday

Was it something that was of direct value such as a £50 note? Yes, a bank note.

Or was it something that could have been converted into money such as a valuable postage stamp? No

Or was it something that would have lead to money such as a map, instructions, a will? No

Is it that the ex was on the photo rather than in it, as in standing on it? No

Is the thing glued to the photo larger than the photo itself? significantly larger? Or smaller? significantly smaller? Smaller

was it a lottery ticket?
lotto numbers?
bank account details?
his will?
None of these. See above

Okay, you now know what was on the photo, I guess I can post the answer. I don't have time right now though.

***SPOILER***

Sarah received a letter from her ex-husband (who left her and moved to another country, with a different woman), with an enclosed photo of her ex. She furiously threw the photo into the fireplace and decided to read the letter. It said that ex-husband is sending Sarah 400$, taped to the back of the photo.
Sarah's grief was indescribable.
