The sign was sign language that was given in response to them asking (also in sign language) if this store had a bathroom. The person "signed" back "no."?? |

Was the sign posted near a restroom? Did it make the visitors think that there was not a restroom? Did it make the visitors think that the restroom was out of service? inaccessible? being cleaned? Did it make the visitors not have to use the restroom? Physically incapable of using the restroom? Physically unable to get to the restroom? Was the sign posted on a wall? On a door? On the floor (like wet floor signs)? Somewhere else? Was there a restroom in the first place? Were the visitors unable to go to the restroom always? For a lomg time? For a short time? Momentarily? Or were they actually able to use it, they just thought they weren't? Is the sign indoors? Outdoors? In a public place? Do we need to find out the exact type of building/outdoor location where the sign is posted? Size of the sign relevant? Color relevant? Height that it was posted relevant? Was the sign clear in its intention? Or was it ambiguous? Did the sign give a direction (like, restroom this way)? Or a command (like STOP or Do Not Enter}? Or a piece of information (like Emergency Exit Only, or Closed for Holidays}? Is this a sign one would likely see on a daily basis? Or unique to this situation? |
