To get some exercise? He didn't have a up to date resident's permit? To be able to park in a nicer neighbourhood with less risk of his car being damaged or stolen? To pretend he lived in a nicer neighbourhood? There just isn't room on his road to park anyway? To hide his car from his wife/flatmate/jealous sibling? Amnesia? He fancied the cute bus driver? He avoided having to wait ages in the morning to leave his own driveway as he lived on a busy road? To avoid an awkward one-way system? |

Were her difficulties severe, or more just an inconvenience? Health related? Was his car a specific car? (i.e. a mail-carrier, a schoolbus, etc.) Or was it recognizable because of... Paint? Model, Make? Year? Something attached to it? Something missing? Ok, different approach. The other person related to this puzzle: HAM or HAF? Child? Occupation relevant? This is total shot in the dark, but: Is the revenge he is exacting on this woman based on the fact that someone else will see his car there? Is the fact that she sees his car there in the morning just an indication to her that the revenge has already begun? hmmm. this is good. can't wait to know the answer so I can stump my roommates for a while. we have a 26 hour car ride later this week, and will be bringing about 9 of your books that I own with us, so thank you in advance, and happy new year! - Sam |

Is his car recognisable because it carries an advert for his business? Is his business something that the woman would be embarassed by? |

Is the car attracting unwanted attention from someone/something? For instance, the car is reported stolen or has been involved in a criminal act. |

Will there be many other people who will see it there? 1+, 10+, 100+ Does this cause her embarrassment? Did he want to give the impression to others that the car was hers? Would this be a car she would theoretically not want associated with herself? Would this indicate to others that she was involved with something she was not? Would this be revenge that she could not remedy? I can't believe we haven't even asked this, but is her occupation relevant? Is she a politician? |

*** SPOILER *** Damia, does she worry about what her neighbours will think if they see a strange car parked outside her house all night? and that maybe her neighbours would tell her family she had a man stay over? or is it just what the neighbours think that matters? and that they may gossip about her? WELL DONE The woman is a gossip. The man heard that she had started an unpleasant rumour about him. He parked his car outside her house all night so that other gossips might suppose that she had a man stay with her. good work regards Paul |
