does it matter hoe far away from the roses they are when they notice them? what the closest they come to them is? is there a path that leads away from the roses? can they get down it? do they try to walk back up the path/road whatever they have just come down? do they need to do something/go somewhere close to the roses? do they want someone else to go/do something for them? | ||

AND PLEASE SHINE YOUR LIGHT ON MY OTHER PUZZLES!! {b********** SPOILER ************ One day, an old Arab-American emailed his son, who no longer lived at home, & said, "I've become allergic to the roses in the garden, but I'm not strong enough to dig up the rosebushes & I don't want to spend the money to hire someone to do it." The son replied by email, "My father, whatever you do, do not have the garden dug up. I have buried THE THING there." The next day, Federal agents came to the old man's house & uprooted all his rosebushes. This is adapted from a joke I heard at a the annual dinner of my state's branch of the American Civil Liberties Union.
