As old hands on the forum know, I used to be hugely (!!) overweight, weighing about 2 1/2 times my current (normal) weight. There is a sentence that was literally true of me then & is literally true of me now, but in a different sense. What is it??

Is it something that has changed, but it can litterary be expressed the same way? Such as you still enjoy food?
Something that is the same as before? Personality? Ideals?

Is it something that has changed, but it can litterary be expressed the same way?no Such as you still enjoy food? irrel, but you BET I still love chocolate. Never believe the hogwash about your stomach shrinking in the sense of your appetite shrinking when you lose weight. I still want to eat 15 desserts every day, but I keep my weight off by doing this only once every two weeks (or so) & dieting stringently the rest of the time. All this is irrel, though
Something that is the same as before? no. The two sentences really express different facts Personality? Ideals?

Do we actually need to know that you lost weight to solve the puzzle? Sense #1 applies only to fat people; sense #2 can apply to people of any wqeight. But there could be 2 different people involved

Is the sentence in the second sense flattering? Insulting? i.e. "What an enormous ass!"?

The question contains the word Enormous right??
Was it used in the first sense solely to describe the fact that you were overweight? Could it (in the first sense)have some other meaning that became a pun given that you were somewhat gravitationally challenged?

Is the second sense of the statement describing your work? attitude? family life? outlook on life? some part of your character?

This is really tough :-). At last my smiley works!!!

Were you described as:

an enormous wit?
an enormous beauty?
an enormous figure on the contemporary philosophical scene?

Are only physical qualities about you relevant?
Are other physical qualities about you than your weight relevant?
If so: any particualr body part? more than one body part?
Or something more general, like your height?

after losing my enormous figure,
i've become an enormous figure to others!

no? but the second sentence has 'enormous' in it as well? ok, back to the drawing boards.

HINT: As I said, the second sense also has to do with my appearance, but to observe it, you'd have to see me on many occasions

Do you have an enormous wardrobe? YES!!!!

****** SPOILER **********
When I was fat, I indulged myself with food. Now I indulge myself with clothes. Food was more fun, but I think the quality of life is much less important than the quantity. When someone recently said to me, "You have an anormous wardrobe," I replied that I had that before the millennium, too--but in a different sense. Thanks for sticking with it everyone, & for solving it, Beccann, & please check out my new puzzle at the bottom of the page
