So Eric commits a theft that's innocent in nature correct? did this happen on Christmas night(eve) ? or before ? Do we need to establish what the toy Eric had asked for was? Is Eric asleep when "Santa" arrives. Does he sit up waiting for him? I had a brilliant answer about Eric getting a fingerprint set and ending up convicting his mother of a long unsolved robbery but c'est la vie. |

Is the theft that of the Game Boy itself?yes! Does Marlene report the theft?Yes! Rose?No Do we need to establish how many days before Christmas this takes place? Not really Does Rose live with Eric & Marlene?Yes! This was always meant to be a quickie... and you now have the main details... so interest is gone... so... ****************** SPOILER ********************* This actually happened!Last year a boy aged 12 in South Carolina was arrested for Petty Larceny after he was reported to the Police by his mother Why? He unwrapped a Christmas present from his Grandmother early in December. The present was underneath the tree and he had been told not to touch it, but he opened it and took it to his room. From the report I have linked to, it would seem that she had reached the end of her tether with him, and wanted to give him a shock. Wonder if it worked? http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1205062xmas1.html |
