There are two fairly well known people who most would consider to have very little in common, but who in fact have something very specific in common that can be said about no one else in the world. Who are they and what is the thing they have in common? |

A mate of mine who is a music encyclopedia has just informed me that Marvin Gaye was born in 1939 but close enough i guess So Drew is a tv and film character that was created during the 1990's right? part of a series of films e.g. a trilogy or at least a film with a sequel? Did the character appear on TV before film? Does the character still appear on our tv screens today (excluding reruns)? Does the same actor play him on the big and small screen (think i may be FAing here) The link between him and the great Bob something to do with a Marley song? album? concert? lyric? Is specific knowledge of Bob's work required to solve? BTW Is the yopish because he's only yopishly alive?yope! classic |

If i was (and i am) familiar with both these gentlemen would i recognise them when viewing the objects?yes. or would getting it involve some lateral thinking (perish the thought a puzzle that requires lateral thinking to solve!!!!!}unfortunately no. this one's pretty straight forward. I wasted all my lateralness on my lateral adventure puzzle. |

China Plates? Daft Guess unless you know a lot of households that have only one or no plates. As you can see it was late at night when i posted that one. Is the item something that someone who does a form of art be more likely to have? Or is it related to a particular hobby? Would your choice of subjects (Borat& Marley) provide any clue to the object? or are they random choices on your part? |

Becca As this has gone a bit quiet can i try and sum up what we've learned. It's an intriguing puzzle. Borat & Bob Marley have something in common that cannot be said of any other two people. Their commonality is a result of an action you took in your capacity as an artist. This action involved creating an image of them on some sort of object that is not made of Paper, Wood, Plastic, Concrete, Marble or is not a knitted, cross stiched or woven fabric. The images are not painted or a mosiac or collage. Both men's appearance is yopeishly relevant. Hope that's all correct. Were you commissioned to create this image? or did you do it for your own enjoyment? Was it to commemorate an occassion or anniversary of something? Do you still have the object? If not was it a gift from you to a friend or relative? or did you sell it? If yes then is it an ornament? or does it have some practical use? Is it hanging on a wall anywhere? Final mad thought . Is the object edible . Is it a cake? |

Another thought. We had some discussion in the chatroom about Fancy Dress parties based on a letter of the alphabet . Could this be relevant given that both there names begin with B? |

Did you use a mould to create this. Was it a dessert? Chocolate? ice cream? Jelly/Jello? Was the object in the shape of a person or did it just have their faces etched on it. Was it someones birthday? Is the type of occasion relevant? |

Was the occasion a special one for you and your relatives? A wedding? Christmas? Thanksgiving? Bar Mitzvah? Or was the occasion relevant to Bob Marley or Borat? I'm raking my brian and can't think of a food item other than a cake that you could have someone's face on. |

did you carve images of Borat and Bob Marley into pumpkins for Halloween?YES! *********** SPOILER ************* This year was the first year that I've ever carved a jack o'lantern for Halloween (by myself anyway, I don't count when I was 6 and my dad helped). I wanted them to be as realistic as possible, and as an artist, I refused to use those patterns you can buy. The first one I made was Borat, just because I thought it would be funny. Then I made Bob Marley, since I was planning to bring the pumpkins to my friend's Halloween party and he's a big Marley fan. So, Borat and Bob Marley have one very specific thing in common, that can be said about no one else in the world (until next year). I have carved their likenesses into pumpkins. Here's a link to images: Borat and Bob |
