Do they look like any earth-born organisms?

Were they thwarted by:-
Energy?
Force?
Pressure?
Electromagnetic waves?
Trees?
Animals?
Humans?
Spacecraft?
Satellites?
Rockets?
Aircraft?
Any man-made object?

Were they thwarted:-
because something/someone knew they were invading?
by accident?
by something of their own doing?

Were the troops aware that they would be thwarted? Did they intend that to happen?

Was the commander also thwarted? Is he/she/it of the same life-form as the rest of the troop? Is the commander relevant - apart from the fact that he gave the speech?

******** SPOILER **********
This puzzle is based on a commercial that I saw on youtube. You may view it here:

I thought it would make an interesting puzzle...perhaps a bit of an easy one, but fun anyway. Well done, all!
