Would a normal person find the situation amusing? Depends on your sense of humor. MANY people certainly would, if they realized what was humourous about it. Does her movement create a squeaking sound? a farting sound? a ripping sound? some other relevant sound? None of these. create a visual effect that is amusing? Closest, but beware of a possible FA. She = Human, Adult, Female? He = Human, Adult, Male? Yes to all. |

Email it to me so I can tell you if it's right or not. This was something I found on the internet (modified by me to make it into a lateral puzzle, of course), so it's perfectly reasonable that you could have stumbled across it as well (I think it's fairly well-traveled online). But I encourage the rest of you NOT to go looking for it, Google or otherwise. And most important of all, if you KNOW the solution already, or if something rings a bell LONG before the rest of us have gotten there, PLEASE don't $poil, but send me an email instead. Thanks! |

Did she move by simply rearranging her body's position in one seat? Or did she move by standing up and switching seats? This is closest. She's most likely sliding from one seat to an adjacent one, but she's definitely changing seats. That's the sense of "move" I was looking for. |

Are all four ads from the same company? No. They're for four different products that have NOTHING at all to do with each other. Are they about giving child birth? Do they say something like - "There will be a great one coming, and another, and another and another." Close enough. Ad number 1 says "The Doublemint Twins Are Coming!" I'll give you that one. Having sex? Yope. Mentioning her weight? Yope. water loss? storm drain/sewage breaking No to rest. Bear in mind that NONE of these ads were intended to be about sex/pregnancy/childbirth. They're just ads for random products that happen to be worded in such a way as to result in all sorts of unintentional double entendres. |

You guys are close enough that I'm going to go ahead and post the **********************SPOILER******************** This is a well-traveled joke/urban legend that has taken many forms on the internet. The following is one popular telling: Australian Court Docket 12659, Case of the Pregnant Lady A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed a man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the man's smile turned into a grin, so she move again. The man seemed more amused. When she moved for the fourth time, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested. (Only in Australia) The case came up in court. The judge asked the man, (about 20 years old), what he had to say for himself. The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat under a sweets sign that said, THE DOUBLEMINT TWINS ARE COMING, and I grinned. Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, LOGAN'S LINIMENT WILL REDUCE THE SWELLING, I had to smile. Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign than said, WILLIAMS BIG STICK DID THE TRICK, I could hardly contain myself. But, your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, GOODYEAR RUBBER COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS ACCIDENT, I just lost it!" The case was dismissed. Thanks for playing, everybody! |
