My first puzzle in quite a while. I may end up staying on, I may end up (like the last few false starts) fading back into the ether of the internet. Let's find out! This may be a quickie, but either way - should be fun! I've just done something. I can absolutely guarantee that, fairly soon, all of you will do exactly the same thing. This is true regardless of where you live, what property you own, your occupation or lack thereof, or how much money you earn. Explain. | ||

YES! - but there's slightly more to it than this... move your eyes? get up from the computer? no to these Hint: This doesn't have anything to do with computers - in fact, yesterday, I was with some friends in the pub...and we all, in fairly quick succession, did the "something". It might be helpful to explore how/why we did it... | ||

but it has to do with regards to this puzzle but not relevant to computers And it can't be speaking or facial expression since not everyone who can type can do those things Laughter? though i'm not sure its true to say that everyone can and will laugh realize this isn't really a puzzle but just an attempt to get us to ask you questions? Ask some questions? :P not this either. I've noticed that this has slowed down to a game of example-tennis, rather than lateral thinking. Probably my fault, and attributable to my being out of practice when I thought up the puzzle statement. So I will give what may end up being a massive hint. Either someone will get this, or no-one will - and thus, too much specific knowledge is needed and I'll $poil. HINT: We are all doing this action ("playing") right now, even if we don't realise it. | ||

Some moderator was nice enough to move this here, yet I still keep losing. Hopefully, if I mention that fact here, no one will actually read it (although it still counts as telling someone, eh?) and they will stop reminding me about the game so I will stop losing, and, therefore, stop having to tell someone that I lost. I don't mind losing, you see, but it's a lot of trouble trying to tell someone that I lost, particularly when you are all alone and you don't want other people to lose as well. Altruism is no fun. |
