Would this story work a man having the paradox? Is anything of the following relevant: pregnancy? ovulation? the female period? Did she lose blood? Was there an accident? Was she ill? Is her heart relevant? Is blood donation relevant? The blood type? Did this really happen? Have you seen/heart it in the news? |

Was the paradox present for some time (say longer than a week) and was discovered afterwards? Was it present since her birth? Did a doctor discover the paradox? Was the woman in hospital? Was she operated? Was she ill because of the paradox? Was the paradox on a particular organ of her body? Did the paradox limit (or promote?) the womans skills in any way? |

Did a shaman discover the paradox? a nurse? a medicine man? Was the paradox dicovered in an examination room? Did the paradox appear because of her illness? Did the woman take drugs? did she get any medical treatment? Was the paradox visuel? audible? could the woman feel it? the "doctor"? Was it inside her body? on the surface? |

Did a shaman discover the paradox? No.a nurse? This is closest, so we'll stick with this one. a medicine man?</b>No.</b> Was the paradox dicovered in an examination room?Yesish. Did the paradox appear because of her illness?Yes. Did the woman take drugs? Not illegal ones. did she get any medical treatment?Irr. Was the paradox visuel? Yesish.audible?Yope. could the woman feel it? Yes, very much so. the "doctor"? No.Was it inside her body? Yes.on the surface?Symptoms were visible without examination. |

Should we find out her illness? Has it something to do with the blood? Was a particular part of her body concerned? So the paradox was painful? was the illness painful too? less painful? Were the symptoms visible on her skin? was the skin red? dark? was there a rash? spots? a wound? Was anything of the following touched by her illness or by the paradox: the heart? the liver? the bladder? the kidneys? the lung? the stomach? the intestine? the bones? Did the nurse take blood from her? a sample? Is it relevant why she got ill? |

Should we find out her illness? Not really necessary. Has it something to do with the blood? Not for the illness, but blood is involved. Was a particular part of her body concerned?Yesish. So the paradox was painful? I'm getting a little confused on how to answer. I'd say yope.was the illness painful too? No.less painful? Were the symptoms visible on her skin? was the skin red? dark? was there a rash? spots? a wound? No to these. Was anything of the following touched by her illness or by the paradox: the heart? Yesish to this, no to rest.the liver? the bladder? the kidneys? the lung? the stomach? the intestine? the bones? Did the nurse take blood from her? YES! That's one major piece of this.a sample?Yes. Is it relevant why she got ill?Not really. |

Did the nurse take blood from a particular part of her body? or as usual from the arm? from the finger? So the blood was examined? Was anything in the blood particulary relevant: white blood cells? red ones? platelets? plasma? bacteria? viruses? Just to be sure: The woman was ill? Because of this she went to see a nurse? As part of the examination the nurse took blood from her? and discovered thus the paradox? Did the woman feel pain? Is any cardiovascular disease relevant? |

Did the nurse take blood from a particular part of her body? or as usual from the arm? This one. from the finger? So the blood was examined? Yeah but irr. Was anything in the blood particulary relevant: white blood cells? red ones? platelets? plasma? bacteria? viruses? Irr to all. Just to be sure: The woman was ill? Yes. Because of this she went to see a nurse? She went to the doctor, and the doctor sent her to a lab. As part of the examination the nurse took blood from her? Yes. and discovered thus the paradox?Yes. Did the woman feel pain? Sorta. See note below. Is any cardiovascular disease relevant? Yesish. Note: The woman had the flu, but something else was discovered when she went to the doctor. The doctor sent her to get a blood test, where something else happened. You should find out what was discovered by the doctor, and what happened at the blood test. These two are a sort of paradox. |

Was the paradox discovered before the needle was inserted? as the blood was actually being drawn? after the draw was completed? Was the paradox related to the location of her veins? her blood pressure? the visual appearance of the drawn blood? |

Was the paradox discovered before the needle was inserted? This one, but it would usually happen to others after the next one. as the blood was actually being drawn? after the draw was completed? Was the paradox related to the location of her veins? her blood pressure? This is one part of it. the visual appearance of the drawn blood? |

Was her blood pressure particulary high? low? Was it of high (low?) amplitude (I am talking about the difference between systolic and diastolic pressures)? Is her pulse relevant? was it particulary fast? slow? Was there something inhabitual wit her blood sample? Apart from the flu and the needle to take blood, did the woman feel any pain? |

Was her blood pressure particulary high? Yes. low? Yes. Was it of high (low?) amplitude (I am talking about the difference between systolic and diastolic pressures)? I think so. Is her pulse relevant? Sorta. was it particulary fast? This one. slow? Was there something inhabitual wit her blood sample? No. Apart from the flu and the needle to take blood, did the woman feel any pain? No. |

Is there more to be found out about her blood pressure? her pulse? was the pulse regular? So the part of the paradoxon the nurse found out concerned the blood pressure and pulse? or is there more? And the part discovered by the doctor still needs to be found out? Did the doctor examine her in a particular way when he found out? visually? touching her? using any instrument? |

Is there more to be found out about her blood pressure? No. her pulse? No. Just figure out what happened and you are done.was the pulse regular? No. So the part of the paradoxon the nurse found out concerned the blood pressure and pulse? The blood pressure is more relevant than the pulse. or is there more?A little bit...just what ended up happening. And the part discovered by the doctor still needs to be found out? Not really. Did the doctor examine her in a particular way when he found out? visually? touching her? using any instrument? This one. RECAP: A woman was sick so she went to the doctor. The doctor found something out about her blood pressure by using an instrument. She went to get a blood test the next day. The lab technician, before blood was actually drawn, found something that, in a way, was paradoxical to what the doctor found. The woman could feel the paradox occurring. |

So the doctor found out that her blood pressure was high, anything more? Did he give her anything(any advice? or did he do anything?) to cure this? And the lab technician found out that her blood pressure was lower than before? irregular? not normal? Does the paradox concern her blood pressure or is there more? |

So the doctor found out that her blood pressure was high, anything more? Only the blood pressure part is relevant to the puzzle. Did he give her anything(any advice? or did he do anything?) to cure this? No. And the lab technician found out that her blood pressure was lower than before? Yesish, but how?irregular? not normal? Does the paradox concern her blood pressure or is there more? There's a major part missing. |

Did she faint during the blood test? Close enough. See spoiler below. lose circulation in her arm? Spoiler: This is a true story that happened approx. two weeks ago. Our hero (me lol) went to the doctor's to diagnose the cause of a fever. I had extreme anxiety about going to the doctor's office, which led my blood pressure to rise upon examination. Believing that this was caused by a pre-diagnosed thyroid problem, the doctor sent me to have a blood test. Well, this was a big mistake, because my anxiety over going the doctor's was actually a symptom of my being extremely fearful of needles. Upon entering the laboratory chair, I began to hyperventilate, despite my efforts to put on a calm facade. The lab technician told me, "I know you're going to pass out, so just get it over with so we can do what we have to do." He even brought out the smelling salts, made me lay down, and called for backup. Thus, the paradox. An anxiety attack generally leads to an increase in blood pressure (read: the scenario at the doctor's office). However, in this case, it led to a visible drop in blood pressure. The story has a happy ending. I finally got myself together and we were able to do what we have to do. Unfortunately, my doctor called yesterday and said I have to go to a thyroid specialist, which will lead to more blood tests. Uh-oh. |

I used to have a problem like that, except that I would feel faint after getting up following a blood test. Sometimes, strangely enough, I would even feel dizzy again later in the day if I didn't remove the tape they put over the puncture site and my shirt pulled on it. So it wasn't simply the blood being drawn that caused my problem. Laying down for the test and a little while later helped a lot, but now I don't have the problem anymore so it doesn't matter. |
