Would this puzzle work for any other type of food? Maybe something that didn't have vegetables? Is there an important ingredient we should figure out? At the time, did she do anything besides make a salad? By making a salad, did she prove something to the husband? That she's wronged him somehow? Like infidelity? That she's a liar? Did the husband premeditate his murder long before she made the salad? Did the husband decide, "if she makes a salad, then I know I have to kill her"? Are the husband's intentions malevolent? Or is he trying to spare her from something? Or some other potentially virtuous reason? |

Also.... By making a salad, did the woman make herself vulnerable to attack? Does the husband live with the wife? Are they newly married? Married for a long time? Is money relevant? Like pre-nuptial agreements or the lack thereof? |

Is the relevent ingredient(s) in the salad a vegetable? If so, is it.... Lettuce? Carrots? Onions? Celery? Tomatoes? Something uncommon in salads? Something green? Otherwise, is it... A meat? A dairy product? A fruit? A topping? A dressing? Poison?!? Possible motives for murder..... Was he an abusive husband to begin with? Was he a controlling or dominating husband? Was he a jealous husband? Was she trying to leave him? Was she going to murder him if she lived? Was he insane? Did they recently have an argument? Were drugs/alcohol/narcotics involved? Was she having an affair? Did she wrong him in another way? Is custody important? In fact....do they have any kids? Is that relevant? |

Hmm, I like this riddle. So she was preparing a salad with onions? And the onions made her cry? And because she was crying, the husband suspected she was about to leave him? Maybe because she was fed up with the way he treated her? But he was too proud/controlling to let her ever leave, so he kills her? |

Did he ask her if she was cheating, and then she started crying? yes, and now it's time for a : *****SPOILER*** Marissa was making a Salad and she was chopping onions. They made her cry. Her husband then arrived home and accused her of cheating on him. She turned around to deny it, but he saw tears in her eyes and thought they were tears of guilt. So he killed her out of rage Check out my other two puzzles. |
