It used to be true, but one day I knew I could never call it true again. But sure enough, today it is true again. |

No. Is it something that could be touched with ones hands (quite presuming humans could actually go there and expose their bare hands without immediately dying)? That is what "tangible" means. Are any life forms relevant? Yesish. Is it pluto's orbit? No, but this is relevant. the definition of what pluto is? Yes. |

Over ten years ago, when you knew it could never be true again, would an educated adult agree that it would not be true again? Or were you basing your assumption that it would never be true again off of wrong knowledge? if so, was it your own wrong assum[tion or a widely asccepted miscalculation/changed definition etc that is no longer held as true by the astronomological community? |

Over ten years ago, when you knew it could never be true again, would an educated adult agree that it would not be true again? Yes, with a small FA. Or were you basing your assumption that it would never be true again off of wrong knowledge? Yes, with the same small FA. if so, was it your own wrong assum[tion or a widely asccepted miscalculation/changed definition etc that is no longer held as true by the astronomological community? Is my FA cleared up by my third question above? Is whether or not pluto is officially a planet relevant? Is it the debate over what pluto should be classified as? Ie you thought we knew what pluto was, and the argument was officially over, and now the debate is on again? Is it how some people might consider pluto to be a moon? and its no longer being considered a planet may add to the number of people who believe that? is who discovered Pluto relevant? When it was discovered? How it was discovered? anything at all relevant about Pluto's discovery? Could you have held the same belief you held 10 plus years ago, twenty years ago? 50 years ago? 100 years ago? |

Is my FA cleared up by my third question above? No. You might be able to solve this puzzle without determining the FA, though. Is whether or not pluto is officially a planet relevant? Yes. Is it the debate over what pluto should be classified as? No, but this is relevant. Ie you thought we knew what pluto was, and the argument was officially over, and now the debate is on again? Not this. Is it how some people might consider pluto to be a moon? and its no longer being considered a planet may add to the number of people who believe that? is who discovered Pluto relevant? When it was discovered? How it was discovered? anything at all relevant about Pluto's discovery? No to all. Could you have held the same belief you held 10 plus years ago, twenty years ago? Yes. 50 years ago? 100 years ago? No to rest. |

is the periodic table relevant? Is it pluto's path blocking the view of Neptune? Neptune's path blocking the view of pluto? Is Neptune's orbit relevant? Does it have to do with what the planets Neptune and Pluto are made out of? their atmospheres? the size of pluto? the size of Neptune? the length it takes each planet to revolve around the sun? Are any fictional stories relevant? *you missed my questions above on post 640 |

is it that pluto is currently closer to the sun than Neptune is? Not exactly, but this is true and relevant. or vice-versa? So no. Is the visibility of either planet from Earth relevant? No. if so, any particular spot on earth? Does it have to do with Neptune being the 8th planet from the sun? Yes. length of their orbits relevant? Yesish. the way they revolve on their axis? No. Did you have a dream that they collided into each other and the force of the explosion destroyed the earth and only your brain survived, hooked up on to a computer that was incapsulating in a spaceship traveling to another galaxing, and then woke up and realized it wasn't a dream after all? Does it have to do with what the planets Neptune and Pluto are made out of? their atmospheres? the size of pluto? the size of Neptune? No to these. the length it takes each planet to revolve around the sun? Yesish. Are any fictional stories relevant? No. |

Is it related to the length of their days? Your age in Neptunian or Plutonian years? days? months? weeks? hours? Are any celestial bodies relevant? Did you think that Neptune would never be the furthest planet from the sun again in your lifetime? Exactly this. ****SPOILER**** Pluto has a very eccentric orbit -- so eccentric that for 20 years out of every 248, it is closer to the sun than Neptune. This happened most recently from February 7, 1979 to February 11, 1999, but won't happen again until the 23rd century. I knew this at the time, and since I also knew I wasn't going to live 228 more years, I knew that after that day I could never truthfully say "Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun" again. However, I didn't anticipate the August 2006 redefinition of "planet" to exclude Pluto. So today I can again say that Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun. |
