Is "here" a specific location, or general? If specific, LTPF list of streets in NYC. If general, then: Urban? Suburban? Inside? Outside? In the air? In space? Underwater? Was he too impatient? Did he have a scrund? Did he make a mistake? Are other people involved? 1? 2? More? He is a child -- Aged 0-5? 5-10? 10-15? Exact age relevant? Is he lost? Is the time of day or year relevant? Could this have happened a hundred years ago? Did he fail to wait starting five minutes ago, or would the wait have been longer before his current situation? |

Was he too impatient? Yes. Did he have a scrund? No. Did he make a mistake? Yes. Are other people involved? Nope, just him 1? 2? More? He is a child -- Aged 0-5? 5-10? 10-15? Exact age relevant? Let's assume he's 11, it might help you a little bit. Is he lost? No. Is the time of day or year relevant? No. Could this have happened a hundred years ago? Probably not. Did he fail to wait starting five minutes ago, or would the wait have been longer before his current situation? I'm not sure what you mean. |

An 11-year-old, in NYC, who an hour ago should have waited for five minutes. If he had, he would not be at a specific location. Was he waiting for an event? Did he go someplace between the five minutes and now? Would he be somewhere else had he waited the five minutes? Would he still be at the same place where he should have waited for five minutes? |

An 11-year-old, in NYC, who an hour ago should have waited for five minutes. If he had, he would not be at a specific location. Correct. Was he waiting for an event? Not exactly. Did he go someplace between the five minutes and now? Yes. Would he be somewhere else had he waited the five minutes? \b[Yes.} Would he still be at the same place where he should have waited for five minutes?Yes. Just to clear things up: he was waiting for 5 minutes for something to STOP. Because he didn't wait for the action to stop, he is somewhere else. |

Was he waiting for something to stop because he wanted it to stop, or because something else relevant would happen afterwards? Did he walk away? Is it relevant how far away he is now? Next door? A block? A mile? Farther? Should or could he have known that the event would stop after five minutes? Did he know what he would be missing? |

Was he waiting for something to stop because he wanted it to stop, or because something else relevant would happen afterwards? Both. Did he walk away? No. Is it relevant how far away he is now? Next door? A block? A mile? Probably this, maybe even a little farther. Farther? He's at a specific location. Should or could he have known that the event would stop after five minutes? He knew. He was impatient. Did he know what he would be missing? |

Did he go home? He starts at home! Did he have a need to be met by the event for which he was waiting? No. And decided to go elsewhere to get that need met? He didn't go anywhere. I think you're a little bit confused about what happened. There is a boy, and he's in place A. He is waiting for something in place A. He is impatient, and doesn't wait for 5 minutes, and ends up in place B. |

"Sorry, I thought you assumed that he went somewhere because he couldn't wait." I DID assume this, because you say he is someplace else now. Did he not go there on his own? Was he taken there by someone else? Place A: Home? Somewhere else? Where he should have waited for something to happen? Place B: Home? Somewhere else? Where he is now because he didn't wait? |

I DID assume this, because you say he is someplace else now. Ah, okay. I can see how this can be very confusing. He was in place A, waiting for something to stop in place A, but he didn't wait so he did something, which resulted in him going somewhere else. Did he not go there on his own? Nope! Was he taken there by someone else? Yes. Place A: Home? Yes! Somewhere else? Where he should have waited for something to happen? Yes. Place B: Home? Somewhere else? This. Where he is now because he didn't wait? Yes. |

And yet the situation and other people are not relevant? And he didn't take a subway or taxi... did he take a bus? Some other form of transportation? So we have the following sequence: - He is at home. Is anyone else present? Is it a school day? Is the power on? - Something is going on, and he waits for it to stop. Is it noisy? Something he can see? Something annoying? - He becomes impatient. Because he is annoyed? Because he wants something else to happen? Because he is in a hurry? - He could wait five minutes, but does not. If he had waited, would the event have ended? Was he aware of this at the time? Did he have a watch or clock handy? - Because he is impatient, he does something. Something dangerous? Something that attracts attention? Does he simply leave home? Is he hoping to find a replacement for whatever it is he wants? - An hour later, he is somewhere else. Outdoors? Indoors? Someone else's home? A commercial location (such as a store or a strip mall)? |

And yet the situation and other people are not relevant? Okay, I was mistaken. There are other people relevant, but they aren't very important. And he didn't take a subway or taxi... did he take a bus? Some other form of transportation? This. So we have the following sequence: - He is at home. Is anyone else present? Yes. Is it a school day? Irr. Is the power on? Yes. - Something is going on, and he waits for it to stop. Is it noisy? Yes, but IRR. Something he can see? Yes. Something annoying? No. - He becomes impatient. Because he is annoyed? Because he wants something else to happen? Because he is in a hurry? This. - He could wait five minutes, but does not. If he had waited, would the event have ended? Yes. Was he aware of this at the time? Yes. Did he have a watch or clock handy? No. - Because he is impatient, he does something. Something dangerous? Yes. Something that attracts attention? Does he simply leave home? No. He does something in his home that causes him to end up in place B. Does he go to place B of his own free will? Or is he forced? Is he thrown out of the house and take refuge in place B? If he had waited, would he had been at home now? If he had waited, would he still have done the same thing in his home? Would it still had been dangerous? Did he break something? Ruin something? Injure himself? Did he run away from home? Is he in an emergency room? |

If he had waited, would he still have done the same thing in his home? YES! Would it still had been dangerous? NOPE! Did he break something? Ruin something? Injure himself? YES. Did he run away from home? No. Is he in an emergency room? YES. I hope this clears up some confusion. This is place B. |

****SPOILER**** Galfisk: Burned by water? In the shower? Bathtub? Was his bath too hot, and he didn't wait for it to cool down? An 11 year old boy draws his bath, and let's it run on hot water. Little does he know, the hot water will run out before the tub is full, and will switch to cold water, which would cool his bath down. Impatient as he is, he climbs into the steaming hot water and ends up in the ER. THANKS FOR PLAYING~ |
