The person saying it = HAM? Is it said to another person? To more than one? Is that/those people also HAM? Is it said in person? Is that person also starving? Is the starvation literal? Or is he just hungry? Or is "starving" a figure of speech for something else? Can the person speaking not remember what they used to eat? Will the answer to the question be helpful? Inedible stuff relevant? Toxic? |

"bill" in title = a duck's bill? other bird bill? has their former food source been impacted by human action? habitat disrupted? domestic animals relevant? is this a domestic bird, who's had the ability to feed itself "bred out"? or is otherwise sufficiently removed from its "wild" habits that it's no longer able to attend to its needs? |

Is the park closed today, meaning noone comes to feed the ducks? Yes Or is it something else than a park? Relevant why it's closed? yes You've pretty much found out everything but the reason the park was closed. This was a byproduct of a very newsworthy story in Ireland this week and judging by one radio show's phone-in the question of what the ducks might eat was foremost in some people's minds |

BTW - white bread gives most birds, getting fed with it, a bad stomach... Did something happen at just that one park? Closed because of danger to public? |

was the park closed to benefit the ducks - as in, their pond was being cleaned/dredged, or some other way...? and ironically, no one thought about what else they might need, except most of radio listeners calling in? |

Did they suspect the ducks were French? LOL but alas no. We are slowly starting to get over the whole french thing. It's a healing process was the park closed to benefit the ducks - as in, their pond was being cleaned/dredged, or some other way...? and ironically, no one thought about what else they might need, except most of radio listeners calling in? No to this but Galfisk pretty much has it covered so .... **************Spoiler*************** Yes last week in Ireland there was a one day strike by all government employees and civil servants. This meant closed schools, curtailed medical and social welfare services and also the closure of all public parks. Surprisingly a lot of people who phoned in to a radio show were worried about the ducks in St Stephens Green in Dublin City centre. Their main concern was that as the ducks are fed by people almost constantly they may have forgotten how to forage for food in their natural way. Strange the priorities some people have . The ducks were fine i'm sure. |
