"Where are my reindeer-legs"? she asked, somewhat annoyed, although what she was looking for had only been moved a few inches. |

Were they, in fact, the legs of a reindeer? Were they meant to be representative of the legs of a reindeer? Is Christmas involved? Could she not see them? Feel them? Had someone else moved them? |

So, it is an object of a particular use that has a picture of a reindeer on it (which has four legs). All correct? Is it clothing? Furniture? Appliance? Decoration? Electronic? Could it fit inside, say, an ordinary backpack? Is the purpose of the move relevant? Is the location of the move relevant? Is the original location relevant? |

Remember to put your name in front of the puzzle title nest time (: Is it a puzzle? Other kind of disassemblable picture? Does the object have the shape of reindeer legs? Had the object been flipped over? Otherwise rotated to put the legs out of view? |

Is she laying the puzzle? Were the legs on a puzzle piece? Had someone removed the piece from the puzzle? Had it previously been put in the correct place? Was it underneath the rest of the puzzle? Was it completely hidden from view? Were the other two her friends? Were they playing a joke on her? Teasing her? |

The piece that you (or she, depends on which of the friends you are) were looking for was already assembled on the main puzzle? And you were looking for the spot to put the reindeer legs on the puzzle (the piece to attach them to)? Or attach a piece to the reindeer-legs assembled on the puzzle? |

Oh, right, I don't know how I got it into my head that it was you! So the pieces were still together? But you only saw one of the pieces? One of the two pieces was also an edge or also went with another part of the puzzle, so you didn't notice that it was still attached because it blended in with the other pieces of its type? |

And you were looking for the spot to put the reindeer legs on the puzzle (the piece to attach them to)? Or attach a piece to the reindeer-legs assembled on the puzzle? this! almost solved, but why did she call them "MY reindeer legs" and why was she annoyed, and why couldn't she find the piece with the legs, that was attached to the puzzle?

Did she realize the picture was not of a reindeer? (Probably a really stupid guess....) the picture was of a reindeer, but possibly a FA... The sollution is a lot easier than you seem to think. I'll just point out the facts you already know. =) Three people are assembling a puzzle. One of them is my sister and one of them is me. The picture on the puzzle is a reindeer (but there actually is a FA here). As the puzzle is almost half-way assembled, my sister asks "where are my reindeer-legs?". She was looking for the piece with the reindeer-legs on it. Someone else had moved it. It is assembled with the rest of the puzzle, thus blending in with the surrounding puzzle. One of my sisters friends is kind of teasing her a little bit. It's practically solved. Should I spoil?

* * * SPOILER * * * I happen to be rather good at puzzling, much to everyone else's irritation. This day we were assembling a puzzle of a map of Sweden, with native animals painted all over it. My sister wanted to assemble the reindeer by herself. She had located the piece with the legs of the reindeer and put it aside for later. Before she found the rest of the reindeer, I secretly took her piece and connected it with the rest of the puzzle, causing her cry of annoyance when she saw that the piece was gone and realized someone else had assembled "her" reindeer.

So it's basically that the piece was put into the rest of the puzzle (which is not all a reindeer, but has other items on it), but because SHE didn't put it into the puzzle, but in fact the other friend did, she didn't realize it was the same piece? |
