Inspired by the "rerpse" puzzle: I sometimes used to pleak as a child. I wasn't aware that anyone else had done it until I recently found a Facebook group called "I used to pleak". Well, it didn't say that exactly, but you get the idea. Though if I had actually thought about it, I probably would have come to the conclusion that other kids did this too. What does it mean to pleak? |

Sorry about missing this: Does it involve pretending an object is something else? No Cards? Pexeso? No to both Do you (or did you) often do it on car trips? YES. The "equipment" is a car, which the pleakers are riding in. Something similar can be done in a building (the indoor version). It cannot be done, e.g., walking along the street, though. |

Is it the alphabet game (trying to find all the letters of the alphabet in order on highway signs, buildings, etc.)? Trying to find a license plate from all 50 states? No to both. Hint(before you resort to randomly guessing games, which is boring and probably useless, as this is very unlikely to appear on a "LTPF list of games for road trips"): While the car in which the pleakers are riding is the only necessary equipment, there is an important other condition to be met, both for the car and the indoor version. This means that on many road trips there is never an opportunity to pleak. |

Is it spotting the first -something-? Not in the sense of spotting an object along the road, which I assume is what you're thinking, though which of a collection of things happens first is relevant. However, it would be almost impossible to figure it out from that clue. |

The necessary conditions: Does the air in the car have to be colder than it is outside? Or does the air outside need to be colder? If the condensation is on the inside, perhaps 'to pleak' is to write messages in the 'fog'? to people in other cars? |

Yes, as in the indoor "version" The necessary conditions: Does the air in the car have to be colder than it is outside? Or does the air outside need to be colder? Irr. If the condensation is on the inside, perhaps 'to pleak' is to write messages in the 'fog'? to people in other cars? No Maybe it has to be raining? YES! Now you are getting there. |

Do you follow the trail of the raindrops with your finger? Maybe trying to get it to go at the same speed? No Do you try to guess which raindrop would reach the bottom of the window first? YES Do you count the number of raindrops? Not necessarily ***********SPOILER************************** Pleaking is watching raindrops move along a window and trying to guess which will reach the bottom first. I never thought so many people did that until I found a Facebook group with a title something like "I used to race raindrops down car windows". For those curious, the word came from something like "plip-plop" (the sound of raindrops) and "streak", which is what the drops make as they slide. |

Heehee, my favourite thing about raindrops on car windows was to watch a drop move slowly down, making its own track, then slip into a previously used path and slide all the way down, really quickly!! |

Mine too! It never occurred to me to look at which one got to the bottom first, I was simply fascinated with their movements (and still am, to an extent). |
