Rewording: In the solution, does someone/thing who could be identified as 'the sober one' ask a question? Is the question asked in a casual, conversational environment? Does it concern work or business? Are game shows or other forms of entertainment involved? Is the question asked by a single person? Is the response given by a single person? |

The sober "one"... is the one a person? a human creation? a drink? an animal? an object? a concept? Is it a trivia question? Multiple choice? A hollywood-squares type situation of choosing between actual people who are present? A question of what to do next? Is the show hollywood squares? pyramid? family feud? the price is right? the weakest link? deal or no deal? That's literally all the game shows I can think of right now. |

Is he asked the past tense of "drink"? Yes! And he is choosing between "drank" and "drunk"? You know it! **********SPOILER********** On an episode of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, the contestant was asked to give the past tense of "drink", but wasn't sure if it was "drank" or "drunk" (which was described as "the alcoholic one"). He eventually chose "drank" (the correct answer), describing it as "the sober one." Thanks for solving it, ISH - I had a feeling this one was going once you figured out the game show. |
