Avoid a slide: avoid playing a trombone? avoiding the slide on a trombone someone else was playing? In either case, is it that the trombone players are too close together and tend to hit each other in the face (or elsewhere) with their slides? |

Were they standing before (during earlier practices)? Are they standing on something relevant? Is there a good reason why they're standing close together? Is the rest of the band also doing that? Do they huddle for warmth? |

Is there a silly reason why they're standing so close? A stupid one? Relevant who came up with the idea? Is she annoyed by it? Are they all annoyed by it? Is light relevant? Do they all need to see something? Do they not have enough pieces of sheet music to go around, so they all need to see a single one? |

Is there no reason? Is the trombonist annoying her on purpose? Are they not standing too close? Is there another form of "closeness"? Such as familiarity? |

Is there no reason? Yes! Is the trombonist annoying her on purpose? Are they not standing too close? Is there another form of "closeness"? Such as familiarity? No to the rest of these I think we have enough for a **********SPOILER********** My sister plays flute in the marching band at her college. During practice, when the band would form a big "CCSU" (her college) on the football field, the flute section consistenly got in formation too close together. This caused my sister, at the back of the flute section, to be forced backwards towards the trombonists. She had to constantly be careful not to get conked with a trombone slide. The title comes from one of the band's shows a couple years ago, where they all did the "Thriller" dance on the field. Nice job to everyone involved, especially Biograd for some good lateral leaps and Galfisk for the final note. |
