Is weather relevant? Yes, it was overcast all day, and we need to see the ground in order to jump. So we decided to try again nest weekend (the reason why we won't try tomorrow is irrelevant to the puzzle). Electricity? Is the skydiving-preventor a natural event? Manmade? Even with this, if it wasn't for the election (and the computer), I could've gotten to do jump 200 this weekend. |

So the bits include: -Your 200th skydive -The election -The side cover of the computer -The airfield -Weather Here's my attempt at a recap: You were planning on having your 200th skydive this past weekend; however, the weather meant that no skydiving was allowed at the airfield. You could have gone to another, however, something happened that meant you couldn't. This "something" involved the side cover falling off your computer and the upcoming elections. How's that? |

Here's my attempt at a recap: You were planning on having your 200th skydive this past weekend; however, the weather meant that no skydiving was allowed at the airfield. You could have gone to another, however, something happened that meant you couldn't. This "something" involved the side cover falling off your computer and the upcoming elections. How's that? That's very good. The whole thing started with the upcoming elections, and the events are pretty much in reverse chronological order as you listed them. Now figure out how they tie together and where pieces are missing, and you'll be sure to make progress :-) |

Was your foot damaged? Legs? Torso? Arms? Hands? Back? Neck? Head? Did the side cover fall onto your foot? And prevent you from walking? Close enough. The side cover fell of and gave me a blue toenail. I could still skydive, and walk short distances, but not as much as I would have to. |

So, let's see... The side cover fell off your computer and damaged one of your toes, preventing you from walking long distances. This would normally not have been that big a deal, as you were planning on having your 200th skydive, and the toenail would not affect your skydiving. However, the weather prevented you from having skydiving at your normal airfield, and your backup airfield was inaccessible because you would have to walk a long distance to it, which you could not do with your damaged toe. Oh, and the elections are somehow relevant to this. Is that the last thing to find out? Were you using your computer when the side cover fell off? If so, is the reason you were using it related to the elections? |

To summarize (hopefully for the final time...nearly 130 posts have gone by): You were campaigning for a certain political party by putting up a homemade party logo at your home. To reach the big logo, you had to move a table; however, your computer was sitting on it. So you had to move the computer. In doing so, the side cover fell off the computer, landing on your toe, and injuring your toenail. This injury prevented you from walking long distances. However, this would normally not have affected your plans to go skydiving that weekend, as the toe injury would not affect the actual skydiving. Furthermore, this would have been your 200th skydive. Unfortunately, the weather prevented you (or anyone) from skydiving at your usual airfield that weekend, and your backup airfield was inaccessible, because you would have had to walk a long distance to get there, which you could not do with your toe injury. On a positive note, this all ended well, as you got your 200th skydive in over vacation, the weather has (likely) cleared up by now, and this (run-on) paragraph has ended. |

Well done Balin, for solving my long puzzle solo! ***SPOILER*** I started campaigning for the pirate party that day, by putting up a big logo in my window facing public land. I had to move the table to reach the window, and lift some stuff down from it, including my old computer. The side cover fell of and injured my toenail (which has since fallen off as well, and a new one is on its way). Since there was bad weather at my usual DZ, I would've liked to go to the Stockholm club DZ but it included at best a kilometer of walking, at worst four - with all my skydiving equipment. so I did not end up doing 200 jumps that weekend. |

The elections are in a month, so we'll see. If you're interested you can read more about the pirate party here: http://www2.piratpartiet.se/international/english It's the only political party that I can actually agree with, one that doesn't have a lot of stupid opinions about a bunch of nonsense I don't give a rat's ass about (can you tell I really don't like politics?) |
