According to legend, the knight got hit in the head and sparked a revolution. Might be a quickie. |

Did the knight lead the revolutionaries? yesish In battle? no Could you please recap? According to a well-known legend, a famous knight (as in the honorific, not the warrior class) got hit in the head on accident by an object, and this caused him to start a great revolution, but not a violent one or one involving government. This took place around the 1600s and 1700s in Britain. |

What makes this even more embarrassing for me is that there's a picture of this event drawn on the whiteboard on my dorm room door, and that picture's been there for about a week - I never made the connection until AFTER I asked my last question about the tree. Stupid of me.... |

Nobody seems to be interested, so: **********SPOILER********** The story is that of Sir Isaac Newton, who supposedly was inspired to create his theories when an apple fell on his head due to gravity. The knight refers to the title "Sir," and the revolution refers to the scientific one. While it is unknown whether or not the story actually happened, Newton himself often told it. Thus, though we cannot say for sure, it is very possible. |
