Just to clarify - she sees something, right? The yopes are simply that I haven't found the right description for her reaction??? |

Is the puzzle title relevant in any way? Winning the 4 Majors would constitute a grand slam in Golf or Tennis so anything to do with either of these sports ? sport in general? |

Or Major as in military rank? Or as in important/significant? Is it relevant that it was a church parking lot? Or would any parking lot do? Or would another church area do? Such as a graveyard? Is the use of 3 question marks significant? Are they used to express: shock? Disbelief? Other negative emotion? Or a positive one? |

Is there something going on in the church at the time ? Funeral? Wedding? Baptism? sunday service/mass? Any fundraising or money collecting taking place? Is she outraged that a particular event is taking place in a church car park? Does she consider this a sacrilege? Is she especially religeous? |

Is there something going on in the church at the time ? Yes Funeral? Wedding? YES!! Baptism? sunday service/mass? Any fundraising or money collecting taking place? No Is she outraged that a particular event is taking place in a church car park? Not an event, but it's more a feeling of disgust than outrage. Does she consider this a sacrilege? Probably Is she especially religeous? Yes |

Is the wedding car particularly distasteful? Is the wedding actually still in progress when she say's this? Or are the congregation standing in the parking lot after the service has finished? Is anybody smoking? drinking champagne? throwing rice or confetti? Would a non religeous person be likely to feel disgusted that this (whatever it is) is going on? Does the lady in question (can we call her Sarah) misunderstand or mistinterpret something? |

Is the wedding car particularly distasteful? YES.... Is the wedding actually still in progress when she say's this? No Or are the congregation standing in the parking lot after the service has finished? Yes Is anybody smoking? drinking champagne? throwing rice or confetti? No to all - both bride and groom were under 21, and we blew bubbles instead of throwing rice. Would a non religeous person be likely to feel disgusted that this (whatever it is) is going on? Probably not Does the lady in question (can we call her Sarah) Sure misunderstand or mistinterpret something? No |

Hmmm ... Blowing car horns relevant? Does the puzzle title only work for 4 majors? Is the puzzle title cryptic in some way? The word Captain relevant (Captain is the military rank BE FOUR MAJOR) or how about Margaret Thatcher as she was the prime minister BE FOUR MAJOR? Wild musings i know but am stuck for something to ask.... |

Does Sarah have a problem with something that has been used to decorate the wedding car? Yes... Hmmm ... Blowing car horns relevant? No Does the puzzle title only work for 4 majors? Yes, but it's not needed anymore: the first two notes in the song "Here Comes the Bride" are a major 4th interval (my sister's a music education major, I kinda have to know this stuff)...the title was pointing to a wedding. Plus I really like Catch-22. Is the puzzle title cryptic in some way? The word Captain relevant (Captain is the military rank BE FOUR MAJOR) or how about Margaret Thatcher as she was the prime minister BE FOUR MAJOR? See above Wild musings i know but am stuck for something to ask.... |

Has the car been decorated with *ahem*...condoms? Is her problem with: a symbol? An object? This Does the offending decoration have: religious significance? Sexual significance? This Is the car decorated with condoms? Yes, but one was in a more, erm..."conspicuous" place... **********SPOILER********** After a wedding on Saturday (and after the reception), the bride and groom came out to the wedding car to find it decorated - not terrible, right? Apparently not, especially after the bride found the condom on the tailpipe (whoever put it there apparently wanted it to balloon out and shoot off when the car was started). Hence the quote. (Incidentally, it took about 3 people to remove it from the tailpipe - that's how tight on it was.) Excellent work to all, especially Peter365 for a lot of the groundwork, and Ixoye and Galfisk for the final bit. |

I think it would've either exploded (and subsequently the remnants would melt onto the tailpipe), or choked the car engine. Fun puzzle (: |
