Thanks to Visconti for the inspiration: My dad told me once that when he was a kid, under certain circumstances he feared a possible result of people around him lildering. This was irrational, though many who know this would still be bothered by others doing it. What is lildering? |

Can lildering be done by adults? Teens? Children? Babies? Did he think the feared result would cause physical harm? emotional harm? A loss of/to something? Those that would still be bothered by this - are they concerned for their own sake? or for the person doing the lildering? |

Can lildering be done by adults? Teens? Children? Babies? In terms of physical possibility, all except babies. Now I hope there aren't too many children, or teens for that matter, who do it! (you'll see why) Did he think the feared result would cause physical harm? This, but see below... emotional harm? A loss of/to something? The physical harm would be to a thing, not a person directly. Those that would still be bothered by this - are they concerned for their own sake? This and FA or for the person doing the lildering? |

You say "possible result".... So does that mean lidering might not produce the feared result? Likely would not? Or does it mean that the lidering he feared was purely hypothetical? And not likely to happen? If it were (hypothetically) to happen, would it definitely produce the feared result? Probably? Possibly? Theoretically but not likely? |

You say "possible result".... So does that mean lidering might not produce the feared result? Likely would not? This, the result is really impossible. Or does it mean that the lidering he feared was purely hypothetical? It is not hypothetical, to the annoyance of some. And not likely to happen? If it were (hypothetically) to happen, would it definitely produce the feared result? Probably? Possibly? Theoretically but not likely? This, or even more in this direction. s lildering a criminal act? Technically it probably is in some places, but I can't see how it would be enforced. In any case, it would be a very minor offense. |

Does lildering require a relevant object? More than one object? Was the FA due to the word "concerned"? |

nuclear weapons relevant? No, I'm afraid it has much less international importance than that! Does lildering require a relevant object?Yes More than one object? Yes Was the FA due to the word "concerned"? Yes, those who rationally dislike lildering do so for a reason that has nothing to do with being concerned, at least in the safety sense. |

Can one lilder while walking? Driving? While indoors? Outdoors? Only while driving, out of this list. Though riding as a passenger is more likely. |

See if this sounds right: When Dad was a kid, he was afraid that if adult passengers in a vehicle lildered then physical harm would come to some "thing". This, of course would never happen. However, there are people who find lildering to be highly annoying? Is the vehicle a car/truck? Was your dad a passenger in the same vehicle with the lilderer? Are annoyed people in the same vehicle with a lilderer? I suppose this wouldn't involve cell phones, unless your dad is REALLY young! |

Does lildering cause harm to the lilderer? No To other persons in the car? No See if this sounds right: When Dad was a kid, he was afraid that if adult passengers in a vehicle lildered then physical harm would come to some "thing". This, of course would never happen. However, there are people who find lildering to be highly annoying? Yes to all. Is the vehicle a car/truck?Yes Was your dad a passenger in the same vehicle with the lilderer? No Are annoyed people in the same vehicle with a lilderer? Could be, though they would more likely be annoyed by something else that occurs prior to lildering. |

Is lildering a distraction? To the lilderer? To the driver? Could potentially be to the driver, but that is irrelevant to this puzzle. |

Flicking out cigarette butts relevant? Yes, wow! There's only one little part missing about the definition of lildering, plus the thing my dad was afraid of. Ejecting something else from the vehicle? |

Lit cigarette butts? Yes, lildering is littering the road with smoldering cigarette butts. Afraid of setting something on fire? Yes Because cigarette butts are a fire hazard? Yes, and in some instances they actually can be, though this example is really farfetched. |

So, was your father concerned that lildered cigarette butts would land on people and ignite their clothes or hair? Or cause hedges or lawns to catch fire? Something like that? BTW, here in Australia discarded cigarette butts from cars are certainly not a trivial concern. They are believed to have caused many serious bushfires |

So is that the $poyler? Not quite. He was afraid of a very specific thing burning. So, was your father concerned that lildered cigarette butts would land on people and ignite their clothes or hair? Or cause hedges or lawns to catch fire? Neither. Remember that he was in a car too. Something like that? BTW, here in Australia discarded cigarette butts from cars are certainly not a trivial concern. They are believed to have caused many serious bushfires I could imagine, if it were summer and the grass were bone-dry. Here in California there are times and places where the fire danger is incredibly high too. |

Was he afraid that a car's tires would catch fire? This, he was afraid that they would burn a hole in one of the tires of the car he was riding in if they drove over one. The gas tank? *agrees vehemently with Biograd* About what? ***************SPOILER*********************** |
