Hi everyone . A connections puzzle with a twist for you. This type of puzzle may need some refining but we'll give it a go. Unlike most connection puzzles I'm not going to provide you with a list of things. In fact you will compile the list yourselves and the more you add to it the easier it will be to spot the connection. All the things that are connected are Bands, Groups or Singers that have 3 particular things in common. To guess one please "sing" me a couple of lines from one of their songs and name the artist/group as well. If I "sing" a line from that song back to you then they can be added to the list as meeting the three criteria. Your task is to indentify what are the three things that connect each act. Start with some of your favourites and see how we get along? |

Nice idea! Let me start with some of my favourite artists: And all the roads we have to walk are winding and all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don't know how (Oasis) You have never been in love until you've seen the stars reflect in the reservoirs. You have never been in love until you've seen the dawn rise behind the home for the blind. (Morrissey) My finger tips are holding onto the cracks in our foundation and I know that I should let go but I can't. And everytime we fight I know it's not right everytime that you're upset and I smile. I know I should forget, but I can't. (Kate Nash) Can I "sing" in another language too? |

Hmmm...I like this. That's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight Losing my religion, trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I said too much, I haven't said enough (R.E.M. - and I know you saw this coming) Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray, South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio; Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television, North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe (Billy Joel) We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind, Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine Say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world, leave the real one far behind (Men Without Hats) |

Call the names of the foemen who've fallen Let them be carried like seeds on the wind Call the names of the kinsmen who've followed Let them be jewels in the crown of our King Gather the sheaves of harvest time lightly Many a day will they strengthen our kin Gather the sheaves of arrow shafts tightly Many a battle their feathers will win (Call the Names - Heather Dale) |

Awesome idea for a connections puzzle! Hmmmm...hits shuffle on iTunes... When they took the beach that day, they stole the children, took them away. And I miss everyone, but most of all the little ones, and their shiny toy guns. (Shiny Toy Guns) This is a place where eternally, fire is applied to the body. Teeth are extruded and bones are ground, then baked into cakes which are passed around. (Squirrel Nut Zippers) Little Hellions, kids feelin' rebellious, Embarrassed their parents still listen to Elvis. They start feelin' like prisoners, helpless 'Til someone comes along on a mission and yells, bitch! (Eminem) At first you spoke little and I said a lot, But in time you would trust me with the depth of your thought. And though we were only young men at the time, We had souls of the ancients with youth left to climb. (Kareem Salama) |

Nice idea! Let me start with some of my favourite artists: A nice idea but also a lot of work And all the roads we have to walk are winding and all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don't know how (Oasis) Today is gonna be the day that they throw it all back to you You have never been in love until you've seen the stars reflect in the reservoirs. You have never been in love until you've seen the dawn rise behind the home for the blind. (Morrissey) We are the pretty petty thieves, And you're standing on our street.. Answered for Morrissey only and not The Smiths My finger tips are holding onto the cracks in our foundation and I know that I should let go but I can't. And everytime we fight I know it's not right everytime that you're upset and I smile. I know I should forget, but I can't. (Kate Nash) This is a no but this girl has some wicked song titles Can I "sing" in another language too? I'd rather you didn't if that's ok |

appologizes for the rap, it's one of the only ones I actually like (probably because I saw a really good Draco music vid to it) I'm the fly in your soup I'm the pebble in your shoe I'm the pea beneath your bed I'm a bump on every head I'm the peel on which you slip I'm a pin in every hip I'm the thorn in your side Makes you wriggle and writhe (Voltaire) Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop You know the place well anyway, back then life was going swell and everything was just peachy Except, of course, for the undeniable fact that every single morning My mother would make me a big ol' bowl of sauerkraut for breakfast (Weird Al Yankovic) I sold my strings, my songs, and dreams And I bought some paints to match the colors of my love Hello, Hello, it's me again, Picasso I will spray my words of my love With your name on every wall (O-Zone) more to come later, for now I have work... |

appologizes for the rap, it's one of the only ones I actually like (probably because I saw a really good Draco music vid to it) No apologies needed I realise that in setting this puzzle I leave myself open to all sorts of music that I don't like. I'm learning lots of cool new stuff mind you. I'm the fly in your soup I'm the pebble in your shoe I'm the pea beneath your bed I'm a bump on every head I'm the peel on which you slip I'm a pin in every hip I'm the thorn in your side Makes you wriggle and writhe (Voltaire) Classy name but no I fear. Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop You know the place well anyway, back then life was going swell and everything was just peachy Except, of course, for the undeniable fact that every single morning My mother would make me a big ol' bowl of sauerkraut for breakfast (Weird Al Yankovic) Speaking of Voltaire he once said "That which is too stupid to be said is sung" Hmmm was he thinking of Al I wonder. With a degree of relief I can say no to the weird one. I sold my strings, my songs, and dreams And I bought some paints to match the colors of my love Hello, Hello, it's me again, Picasso I will spray my words of my love With your name on every wall (O-Zone) Now that's what I call a lyric but alas this O-Zone has a hole in it and cannot be included. more to come later, for now I have work...Wot ees thees work you speek of |

We've got to hold on to what we've got It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not We've got each other, and that's a lot For love, we'll give it a shot (Bon Jovi) Strangers waiting Up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people Living just to find emotion Hiding somewhere in the niiiiiiiiiiiiight (Journey) Take on me Take me on I'll be gone In a day or twooooooooooooo (a-ha) Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here (The Beatles) Picture perfect memories Scattered all around the floor Reaching for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore And I wonder if I Ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time (Lady Antebellum) Working double time on the seduction line She was one of a kind, she's just mine all mine Wanted no applause, just another course Made a meal out of me and came back for more Had to cool me down to take another round Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing (AC/DC) I'm dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow (Bing Crosby) |

Can you provide a list of the "no"s as well as the "yes"es? some more since I'm posting anyway A Long Long Time Ago I could still remember how that music used to make me smile And I knew that if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while (Answer for Don McLean and Madonna, please) This land's not my land, I'm from Rhode Island But now Rhode Island is Called Best Buy Land And Tennessee Now Is Tennessee Plow This land was bought from you and me (Capitol Steps) Once a Jolly Swagman Camped By a Billabong Under the Shade of a Coolibah Tree And He Sang as He Watched and Waited while his Billy Boiled You'll Come a Waltzing matilda with me (I'm not going to make you answer for everyone who wrote it, but please answer for Banjo Patterson, who wrote the original, and for Slim Dusty, the legend who performed it so many times) Australians all Let Us Rejoice for We are Young and Free With Golden Soil and Wealth for Toil Our Home is Girt by Sea (Once again, not everyone who ever sang it, but please do for Julie Anthony and the group Human Nature, who jointly sang it at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. I believe Human Nature sang the first verse while Anthony sang the second. In case it matters, I'm posting the beginning of the second verse below) Beneath our Radiant Southern Cross We'll toil with heart and hand To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands To sing our Alma Mater's praise, And join in the fellowship strong, Which inspires our college days. We're backing our teams in the strife Cheering them to victory! And Pledge anew to old Connecticut, Our steadfast spirit of loyalty. (UConn Alma Matter, Written by University alumna Alice Sawin Davis, Class of 1925. Answer both for Davis, and for the UConn Pep Band, who performs it on many occasions, including after each basketball game) U Conn Husky, symbol of might to the foe. Fight, fight Connecticut, it's victr'y, Let's go Connecticut U Conn Husky, victr'y again for the White and Blue So go, go, go Connecticut, Connecticut U. I believe Human Nature sang the first verse while Anthony sang the second. In case it matters, I'm posting the beginning of the second verse below) I'm afraid it doesnt' matter Beneath our Radiant Southern Cross We'll toil with heart and hand To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands To sing our Alma Mater's praise, And join in the fellowship strong, Which inspires our college days. We're backing our teams in the strife Cheering them to victory! And Pledge anew to old Connecticut, Our steadfast spirit of loyalty. (UConn Alma Matter, Written by University alumna Alice Sawin Davis, Class of 1925. Answer both for Davis, and for the UConn Pep Band, who performs it on many occasions, including after each basketball game) No think more mainstream U Conn Husky, symbol of might to the foe. Fight, fight Connecticut, it's victr'y, Let's go Connecticut U Conn Husky, victr'y again for the White and Blue So go, go, go Connecticut, Connecticut U. (You've already answered for the Pep Band, so answer only for University of Connecticut Marching Band) No it's more about recording artists |

I’m a wind-up toy in an up down world If you leave me all alone, I’ll make a mess for sure I’ve a heart of gold in the smallest size Leave me in the dark, you’ll never hear me cry (Mika) I told the witch doctor I was in love with you I told the witch doctor I was in love with you And then the witch doctor, he told me what to do He said that... (David Seville) Hello Muddah, hello Fadduh, Here I am at Camp Granada. Camp is very entertaining, And they say we'll have some fun if it stops raining. I went hiking with Joe Spivey. He developed poison ivy. You remember Leonard Skinner. He got ptomaine poisoning last night after dinner. (Alan Sherman) Another Friday night, to get the feeling right At the bar when he sees her coming over What you gonna do, if she walks up to you Tongue tied better get yourself together Pound another drink, to give him time to think What's your sign hey I think you know a friend of mine All the stupid lines, that he had ever heard Wouldn't come to mind he couldn't say a word (American Hi-Fi) I won't run When the sky turns to flame And I sure won't budge When the earth does shake When the flood comes up I will dance in the rain 'Cause it's all the same to me (Anya Marina) We are what we're supposed to be Illusions of your fantasy All dots and lines that speak and say What we do is what you wish to do (Aqua) I am Cow, hear me moo I weigh twice as much as you And I look good on the barbecue Yogurt, curd, cream cheese and butter's Made from liquid from my udders I am Cow, I am Cow, Hear me moo (moo) (Arrogant Worms) I hope ya flip some guy the bird, He cuts you off and you're forced to swerve, In front of the Beatles' tour bus, A Bookmobile and a Mack truck, Hauling hazardous biological waste, The light turns red you have no brakes, And "Hard Copy" gets it all on tape, So you can see the look on your face, (The Bloodhound Gang) Now floating up and down I spin, colliding into sound Like whales beneath me diving down I'm sinking to the bottom of my Everything that freaks me out The lighthouse beam has just run out I'm cold as cold as cold can be be (Blue October) To save some time I'll say no to all |

I'm sharing thoughts with those who are working on this... So far, I've ruled out these possible similarities for sure. They don't all have the same recording label. They weren't all active during the same year.

The Rolling Stones are a Yes as well. How to pick the next songs - I know! Top 25 on my iPod...at least, those that haven't been guessed yet. Sister Christian, oh the time has come And you know that you're the only one To say OK Where you going, what you looking for You know those boys don't want to play no more With you, it's true (Night Ranger) And what you say about his company Is what you say about society Catch the mist, catch the myth Catch the mystery, catch the drift (Rush) She's a good girl, loves her mama Loves Jesus and America too She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis Loves horses and her boyfriend too (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) Watching every motion in my foolish lovers' game On this endless ocean finally lovers know no shame Turning and returning to some secret place inside Watching in slow motion as you turn around and say (Berlin) It's not like you to say sorry I was waiting on a different story This time I'm mistaken For handing you a heart worth breakin' And I've been wrong, I've been down Been to the bottom of every bottle These five words in my head Scream "Are we having fun yet?" (Nickelback) Oceans apart, day after day And I slowly go insane I hear your voice on the line But it doesn't stop the pain (Richard Marx) And I'm not even out of the top 10 yet - I'll stop there for now. |

No It's not like you to say sorry I was waiting on a different story This time I'm mistaken For handing you a heart worth breakin' And I've been wrong, I've been down Been to the bottom of every bottle These five words in my head Scream "Are we having fun yet?" What about show tunes? Edelweiss, edelweiss, every morning you greet me Small and white, clean and bright you look so happy to me -Captain Georg von Trapp The hills are alive with the sound of music With songs they have sung for a thousand years The hills fill my heart with the sound of music My heart wants to sing every song it hears Is anything about the song relevant? Like if I'd done Billy Joel's performance of the National Anthem, would it have worked? |

Some more which I forgot Not a show tune Fighting Soldiers From the Sky Fearless Men Who Jump and Die Men Who Mean Just What They Say Those Brave Men are the Green Berets -Robin Moore and Staff Sgt. Barry Sadler (they both performed the song on the same release, and should therefore be treated as one artist/group, not two, unless I misunderstand the rule) We've been together since way back when Sometimes I never want to see you again But I want you to know, after all these years You're still the one I want whisperin' in my ear -Orleans. On a side note John Hall, who was in Orleans, used to be my Congressman until Republican Nan Hayworth defeated him in last November. And in spite of the fact that is a Democrat, John McCain used this song during his campaign in 2008. And Hall sued, obviously. If you're going to use a song you don't have the rights to, at least make sure it wasn't written by a member of the opposite party. Seriously, Johnny. |

I've never heard of Glenn Madeiros - that's a good thing, right? Anyway, continuing with the top 25, starting with another one which is a bit embarrassing to admit: Baby you're all that I want When you're lying here in my arms I'm finding it hard to believe We're in heaven And love is all that I need And I found it there in your heart It isn't too hard to see We're in heaven (Bryan Adams) The lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek There's nobody here, it's just you and me It's where I want to be But I hardly know this beauty by my side I'll never forget the way you look tonight (Chris De Burgh, and this one's also a bit embarrassing to admit) We are young Heartache to heartache we stand No promises, no demands Love is a battlefield We are strong No one can tell us we're wrong Searching our hearts for so long Both of us knowing Love is a battlefield (Pat Benatar) You know I'm a dreamer But my heart's of gold I had to run away high So, I wouldn't come home low Just when things went right Doesn't mean they're always wrong Just take this song and you'll never feel Left all alone (Mötley Crüe) If you're lost, you can look, and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time (Cyndi Lauper) How can you see into my eyes Like open doors Leading you down into my core Where I've become so numb Without a soul My spirit sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back Home (Evanescence) We'll do it all Everything On our own We don't need Anything Or anyone (Snow Patrol) We both lie silently still in the dead of the night Although we both lie close together We feel miles apart inside Was it something I said or something I did Did my words not come out right Though I tried not to hurt you Though I tried But I guess that's why they say (Poison) You should've seen by the look in my eyes, baby There was something missin' You should've known by the tone of my voice, maybe But you didn't listen (REO Speedwagon, and that concludes all unrepresented artists in my top 25! Phew.) |

All the leaves are brown And the sky is gray I went for a walk On a winter's day I'd be safe and warm If I was in L.A. California dreamin' On such a winter's day (California Dreamin', The Mamas and the Papas) Heads, Carolina, tails California Somewhere greener, somewhere warmer Up in the mountains Down by the ocean Where it don't matter So long as we're goin' Somewhere together I've got a quarter Heads Carolina, tails California (Jo Dee Messina) (I hope "Hotel California" isn't relevant...I refuse to quote it here, it was my last ex-boyfriend's favorite song. Ick.) Do you know the way to San Jose? I've been away so long. I may go wrong and lose my way. Do you know the way to San Jose? I'm going back to find some peace of mind in San Jose. - Dionne Warwick (but please also answer for Neil Diamond and Frankie Goes to Hollywood) The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gay The glory that was Rome is of another day I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan I'm going home to my city by the Bay I left my heart in San Francisco High on a hill, it calls to me To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care (Tony Bennett) If you're going to San Francisco Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair On the streets of San Francisco You'll meet some gentle people there did that one from memory, so don't be annoyed if it's in any way wrong. What about show tunes? I'm for em.... but they won't really help here Edelweiss, edelweiss, every morning you greet me Small and white, clean and bright you look so happy to me -Captain Georg von Trapp I can play this on the recorder well I could when I was 10 but alas no The hills are alive with the sound of music With songs they have sung for a thousand years The hills fill my heart with the sound of music My heart wants to sing every song it hears Sorry but the hills are alive with the sound of NO. Is anything about the song relevant? Like if I'd done Billy Joel's performance of the National Anthem, would it have worked? Good idea to clarify this point. It's the artist that's relevant so any Billy Joel song you picked would have worked |

Is anythings about the artists'/groups names relevant to the rule? The success of their songs? On the Top 100 Chart (or whatever it is)? Did they need to get to #1? Is it relevant whether they go by their real name or not? (ie either a stage or group name)? If hypothetically, Bob Marley had performed all the songs the Eagles did in reality, and they had experienced the same results, while meanwhile the The Eagles had performed all of Marley's (real) songs and they had experienced the same results, would the solution be any different? |

Interesting question. If they had performed each others songs to the same quality and result then Marley would be a yes and The Eagles would be a no |

Anything about the members of the group relevant? The number of members? Any of their albums relevant? The names of their albums? Throwing out a couple more... Hold it now and watch the hoodwink As I make you stop, think You'll think you're looking at Aquaman I summon fish to the dish although I like the Chalet Swiss I like the sushi 'cause it's never touched a frying pan (Barenaked Ladies) Left a good job in the city Workin' for the man every night and day And I never lost one minute of sleepin' Worryin' 'bout the way things might have been (Creedence Clearwater Revival) I pulled into Nazareth, I was feeling 'bout half past dead I just need some place where I can lay my head "Hey mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?" OK, made it to one of the school computers. There's antimony, arsenic, aluminum, selenium, And hydrogen and oxygen and nitrogen and rhenium And nickel, neodymium, neptunium, germanium And iron, americium, ruthenium, uranium. Europium, zircodium, lutetium, vanadium, And lanthanum and osmium and astatine and radium And gold, protactinium, and indium, and gallium... And iodine and thorium and thulium and thallium (Tom Lehrer) It's close to midnight And something evil's lurking in the dark Under the moonlight You see a sight that almost stops your heart You try to scream But terror takes the sound before you make it You start to freeze As horror looks you right between the eyes You're paralyzed (Michael Jackson) She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cry (Guns 'n' Roses) Hmmm...what's the complete inverse of GNR? Like a bat out of hell I'll be gone when the morning comes When the night is over Like a bat out of hell I'll be gone, gone, gone When the day is done And the sun goes down And the moonlight's shining through-oo-oo Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven I'll be crawling on back to you (Meat Loaf) P.S. But yeah, you've had a huge influence on what I watch and listen to. And that's a good thing. More lyrics though. *changes strategy* now I shall just post lyrics from songs I have (or some that I just like and don't have) by artists on that list, thanks Woodworm! I love these songs but haven't gotten to them yet! Twice upon a time in the valley of the tears, the auctioneer is bidding for a box of fading years. And the elephants are dancing on the graves of sqealing mice, Anyone for tennis, wouldn't that be nice? (Cream) Woke up the morning with light in my eyes, and then realized, it was still dark outside. It was a light coming down from the sky. I don't know who or why. (The Byrds) Say nighty-night and kiss me; Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me. While I'm alone, blue as can be, Dream a little dream of me. Twice upon a time in the valley of the tears, the auctioneer is bidding for a box of fading years. And the elephants are dancing on the graves of sqealing mice, Anyone for tennis, wouldn't that be nice? (Cream) Not rising to the top with this guess that's a no Woke up the morning with light in my eyes, and then realized, it was still dark outside. It was a light coming down from the sky. I don't know who or why. (The Byrds) Must be those strangers that come every night, Those saucer shaped lights put people uptight, Leave blue-green footprints that glow in the dark, I hope they get home all right Say nighty-night and kiss me; Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me. While I'm alone, blue as can be, Dream a little dream of me. (The Mamas & the Papas) We've already established that they are a yes When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Remember what the dormouse said: "Feed your head Feed your head Feed your head" (Jefferson Airplane) When men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go, And you've just had some kind of mushroom, And your mind is moving slow,Go ask Alice I think she'll know Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son A man had to answer for the wicked that he done Take all the rope in Texas Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that (Willie Nelson I know it's mainly Toby Keith, but I wanted to guess Willie Nelson, and like this song more) And justice is the one thing You should always find You gotta saddle up your boys You gotta draw a hard line, When the gun smoke settles We'll sing a victory tune, And we'll all meet back At the local saloon She's a rebel She's a saint She's salt of the earth And she's dangerous (Green Day) She's a rebel Vigilante, Missing link on the brink Of destruction It's a little bit funny this feeling inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide I don't have much money but boy if I did I'd buy a big house where we both could live (Elton John) I hope you don't mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is when you're in the world I had to find you Tell you I need you Tell you I've set you apart Tell me your secrets And ask me your questions Oh, let's go back to the start (Coldplay) That's a no I'm afraid My daddy worked all night in the Vanleer coal mine All day long in the field a-hoin' corn Mommie rocked the babies at night And read the Bible by the coal-oil light And ever'thing would start all over come break of morn'. (Loretta Lynn) From memory this so apologies for errors but's it a long time since I heard this song..."In the summer time we didn't have shoes to wear but in the winter we all got a brand new pair, from a mail order catelogue , money raised from selling a hog I can't believe nobody has guessed some of these yet Lot of work in answering all of these |

Have they all won a Grammy? They may have done but that is not one of the criteria so I haven't checked the list in full As this puzzle is an expirement of sorts I'll give you all a clue. Think song titles. |

a common theme between at least one song title by each "yes" artist? Not really my answer to your previous question could have read "Not a specific word but words of a particular type" |

Names? Cities? Other place names? Yes, place names it is. All of the yes artists have recorded a song with a placename in it. I can help you wrap this up by telling you that the final criteria is similar to this one |

Does the title of one of their songs have to involve a specific category of word (for instance a person's name, a profession, a family member type, or something along these lines)? Or is it relevant the length of the word(s)? The number of words? Do any of the already established 2-out-of-3's have all except this one? If so, use the [LTPF list of 2 out of 3's] to tell me which ones, please? And then tell me whether any of these (sometimes hypothetical) song titles would fulfill the third requirement: Mama Says There'll Be Days Like This? Your Mother Says There'll Be Days Like This? Mother Teresa Says There'll Be Days Like This? Yo? Booga Booga? Booga? Balin is a Dude? Peter365 is a Dude? Peter 365 is a Dude? You're So Vain? You Are So Vain? Old McDonald? Old Connecticut? The UConn Alma Matter? (rendered exactly as is, only without the question mark) UConn Husky? The UConn Fight Song? (again, rendered exactly as is, only without the question mark) Mary Had a Little Lamb? Am I even on the right track? (That's a question, not a song) |

(That's a question, not a song) You're bang on ***********SPOILER*************** Ok in a way i'm glad this is wrapped up as it was a surprisingly tough puzzle to host although I do hope you enjoyed playing. The 3 criteria were : Each artist has an album on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time list. Each artist has recorded a song with a place name in the title Each artist has recorded a song with a man's name in the title. In hindsight I should have picked a less common occurance for the song titles piece as I was amazed at the number of yeses. As expirements go I think this went quite well and I certainly enjoyed see some new lyrics and some old favourites. I think this puzzle type has a future and could be done with books films actors etc. the list is pretty endless. The toughest challenge for me was the liklihood of bloopers was high because I was basically reading a list of an artists songs from a website and it was easy to miss a place name or a man's name. On an amusing side note the reason I blooped on Bob Marley was that having checked his list of songs and not discovering a place name I listed him as a no. However one of my favourite Marley songs is Buffalo Soldier and I didn't associate this with Buffalo NY home of the Bills. Any comments on this puzzle type (apart from the fact that I could have done a better job on the criteria) . Anyone got any ideas for something similar? Slainte |

Reading through this, I found myself giggling a little that Meat Loaf was listed as one of the "2 out of 3" artists... Anyone familiar with his more famous recordings is welcome to join me in a quick laugh. I like the idea for the puzzle, kind of an inverse/reverse connections type. I was a little disappointed this morning to find it spoiled, but I think I can take what I was planning on asking and maybe make my own one of these... We shall see. |

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realise the irony of Meat Loaf being a 2 out of 3 artist. Further irony that Balin used that song in a puzzle recently. And Balin , swipe away . |
