Did you think that all kinds of tumours require therapy, no matter if they're benign or malignant? Or that benign tumours never do any harm and/or never have to be treated? Or that a benign tumour could never turn into a malignant one? Anything relevant about the structure of the tumour? Or the way they develop? Or their location? Did you misunderstand/misinterpret the terms "benign" and/or "malignant" in some way? |

I don't see any connection to the "sentient" part of your puzzle statement here, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask... Did you think that it the terms really were "benignant" or "malign"? |

Malevolent and benevolent? ****Spoiler**** Yep. I used to confuse the words "malevolent" and "malignant" and "benign" and "benevolent", especially when used to describe tumors. Thinking back, calling a tumor benevolent makes it sound helpful...and also kind of gives it a personality. There were a lot of words like this that I used to mix up as a kid. |
