So, she did something normal? With a normal outcome? You were surprised by her doing it there and then? You were surprised by the outcome in this case? But it was a normal outcome? Would it be something analogous to, say, you switch on the light, and the light bulb burns out immediately - you would not be surprised in general, because this happens from time to time, but you are surprised this time, because you've just changed it? |

Did you order somebody to clean the house? Did you assume somebody would clean your house? Did you expect guests? Did you have your house renewed/redecorated and expect people who did the renovation/redecoration to clean the house? Did you see someone advertising vacuum cleaners and expect he would come and clean the house as a part of his show? |

Did your house change on relevant way during those few weeks? Did you change methods of cleaning? Did you change cleaning chemicals? During the relevant few weeks, was your house cleaner than you expected it to be? Seasons of the year relevant? Weather relevant? |

The thing that changed: part of the house? windows? decoration? furniture? Or was it something more personal? Like number of people living in the house? Amount of time spent by you in/out of the house? |

Had she rearranged some furniture or made some other change to the house? Something that was unfamiliar to you, being used to living alone/your house being a certain way, but made sense with the move-in? |

Had she rearranged some furniture or made some other change to the house? Irr. Something that was unfamiliar to you, being used to living alone/your house being a certain way, but made sense with the move-in? Something I was used to, changed because she moved in. You have all the important dots, you only need to connect them. |

Did you expect the house to be cleaner because your girlfriend had moved in on the first place? Or because some habit of hers? The thing that changed: eating habits? cleaning habits? |

Hmmm... perhaps you had simply been surprised by how much dust was actually in your house. When your girlfriend moved in (and things were moved around), you were able to see how much dust had accumulated in places you had not seen in a while. Is this close? |

did you find that the house got dirtier because two people were living there? or got dirty more quickly? Close enough. ***SPOILER*** I was surprised to find that I had to vacuum roughly twice as often since she moved in. But it makes sense since we both create dust and mess. I've moved in with someone before in my life, but never had someone move in with me, so this was the first time I experienced this contrast. Thanks for playing, please have a go at my oldest puzzle at the top. |

Same with me. I never vacuumed before I got married; after marrying, I had to do it twice as often :P |
