To avoid confusion, I took "fictional" to mean "not real", so it's not necessarily a character from literature. |

*****RECAP***** There is a man who the Police thought was real, but did not exist. The Police were looking for him but they couldn't find him (because he was not real). He was convicted of traffic violations, which actually happened. No misspelling/mishearing/misreading (OTRT)/mistyping/miscommunication. No-one was trying to mislead anybody, identity theft not relevant. Hints: The Police had a name for him, and it is relevant how they determined it. The name was not a forename and surname or an adjective and a noun. "did someone pass on the correct name and get it wrong or were misunderstood?" This is almost correct. *****BLOOPER***** I'm sorry! Was the identity of a different person given to the police? Yes |

Were all informants human? To be clear, the informants gave the correct information, but the recipients did not take down the correct information. Is this accurate? Did the recipients misunderstand? miscommunicate with one another? Was the mistake on the part of the recipients? Someone else (such as a receptionist or supervisor)? Something else (such as a malfunctioning telephone)? Has the FA been cleared? |
