Why did Sarah (H/A/F) and Gunnar (H/A/M) decide to move to Indonesia? This is based on a movie and I didn't change the names. So, if this sounds familiar, please e-mail me your possible $poylers (: |

Is it relevant where exactly they lived earlier? Are their professions relevant? Are any other people relevant? Was there a crime committed? |

Is Indonesia the only place they could have moved for their purposes? One of a few places? Were they moving away from something? Is anyone else involved directly? Is there something particular that is legal in Indonesia? Something illegal? |

Do they expect that the child might have better chances to survive in Indonesia? that it only in Indonesia will have a chance to survive? Is there a cure for this illness which is available only in Indonesia? Is there a cure at all? Is the illness a potentially fatal one? Will the child have a rather short life expectancy? Will it be a boy? a girl? relevant? Do they expect that living in Indonesia will make the life in some way easier for the child? (physically easier? socially easier?) Is the climate in Indonesia relevant? Its geographical conditions? |

Is there something cultural that will make the child's life easier? Is the abnormality stigmatized in their home culture but not in Indonesia? |

Is this anything to do with the fact that Caucasian children with Down syndrome may have facial features (eyelid folds especially) similar to Asian children? (The old non-politically correct term "mongolism" comes to mind) |

That the child would look "normal" in Indonesia? Would look like Indonesian children? yes... I think we have enough for the ********SPOILER******** Sarah and Gunnar are expecting a child with Down syndrome. They decide to move to Indonesia because their child will "look normal" there and, so they hope, not be bullied or harassed. (Well... you can definitely argue about their logic, but hey, it's taken from a movie - Adam's Apples.) Nice quick solve, folks! Please don't forget my two other puzzles, and have a look at the one that I'm about to post (: |
