RECAP: Three people are dead in a room; Mary and the weather are to blame. What happened? The three people (Mary, Peter, & Paul) are dead in either a family room or living room. Mary & Peter died of electrocution, while Paul's head was crushed in. A radio is relevant to the deaths of Mary & Peter, while Paul's death was related to some sort of collapse. Mary was partially to blame for all three deaths (directly hers, indirectly the others), and an earthquake was also at fault (no pun intended). All deaths were accidental. HINT: The wording of the puzzle statement is important. |

Wild guess: Did a signal come through the radio, which was amplified by Paul's braces (even though we don't know if he has them ;-P), causing him to collapse and knock his head on something, killing him? :-) |

Was Mary trying to unplug the power cord of the radio (if it had one)? Trying to fix the radio? |

Another (slightly less wild) guess: Mary was in the bathtub. Peter was in contact with the water or something else conductive that was in contact with the water. An earthquake came along and made the radio fall onto Paul's head, killing him. However, the radio then bounced off his head into the bathtub, electrocuting Mary and Peter. On second thought, that wasn't wild at all! Just the part about the radio and Paul's head seems at all doubtful! |

Another (slightly less wild) guess: Mary was in the bathtub. Yes Peter was in contact with the water or something else conductive that was in contact with the water. Not yet! An earthquake came along Yes and made the radio fall onto Paul's head, killing him. No However, the radio then bounced off his head No into the bathtub, Yes electrocuting Mary Yes and Peter. Not yet either! On second thought, that wasn't wild at all! Just the part about the radio and Paul's head seems at all doubtful! Not a bad thought. Remember, though, the order of their deaths and the room they were found in. |

Mary died first? In the bathtub? Yet she ended up in the family room? Which means either someone carried her from the bathtub to the family room, or...the bathroom floor collapsed, dropping the bathtub (and Mary) into the room below, which was the family room where Peter and Paul were located? Any of this on track? |

did Peter rush to help Mary and got electrocuted himself before they both (and the bathtub) fell through and killed Paul? Yep!! **********SPOILER********** Mary went up to take a bath, while Peter and Paul were in the family room below. Mary enjoyed listening to the radio while bathing, but had the bad habit of propping it on the edge of the tub. While she was in the tub and the water was running, a small earthquake struck; it was not strong enough to do any damage, but it did manage to knock the radio into the tub, electrocuting Mary and shorting out the power. However, the water continued to run. As Paul napped, Peter rushed up to help her, but slipped on the wet floor and fell into the electrified tub. The combined weight of two people plus the water covering the bathroom floor caused said floor to give way, dropping the bathtub (along with Mary & Peter) onto Paul. And thus began the puzzle. Nice work everyone for persevering through this one, especially Ixoye and Shez for the last bits. New one soon. |

Wow, that must be a weak floor if the weight of two people and some water on the floor caused it to collapse! |

Oh, I guess you actually mean that the earthquake was what initially damaged the floor, but the wording was misleading. |

Biograd -- either the earthquake weakened the floor, or the floor was old and rotten. I got the idea from this game. |
