True story? Something that you did, or that happened to you? To someone you know? Did someone do something stupid twice? |

Did the same thing happen twice? Were you struck by lightning twice? Did the "something" happen twice on the same day? Was it something that inconvenienced you? Annoyed you? Hurt you? Delayed you? Embarrassed you? Was anyone else involved? |

Did the same thing happen twice? Yes. Were you struck by lightning twice? Thankfully, no. Did the "something" happen twice on the same day? No. Was it something that inconvenienced you? Annoyed you? A bit of this... Hurt you? ...and some of this (although not exactly 'hurt'). Delayed you? Embarrassed you? Was anyone else involved? |

Is it reasonable to expect the thing to happen once? Does it happen once to some people? Most people? Everyone? Is it surprising that it happened twice because it is statistically improbable for it to happen twice? Physically improbable? Did you catch a disease twice, one that people usually form antibodies to the first time you have it? |

Is it reasonable to expect the thing to happen once? Yope. Does it happen once to some people? No to all. Most people? Everyone? Is it surprising that it happened twice because it is statistically improbable for it to happen twice? Physically improbable? Neither of these, it's just unfortunate for it to happen twice. Did you catch a disease twice, one that people usually form antibodies to the first time you have it? No. |

Has it happened to you twice in your life? How long separates the two instances: less than a week? More than a month? More than a year? More than 10 years? Is it relevant? Did it happen in the same circumstances each time? Did it happen at home? At school? At work? Inside? Outside? In a vehicle? Underground? In the air? Was it a distinct event? Part of a series of events? Did it cause you any physical pain? Did it mark you in any way? |

Has it happened to you twice in your life? Yes. How long separates the two instances: less than a week? This one. More than a month? More than a year? More than 10 years? Is it relevant? Did it happen in the same circumstances each time? Yes! Did it happen at home? This one! At school? At work? Inside? Outside? In a vehicle? Underground? In the air? Was it a distinct event? This one. Part of a series of events? Did it cause you any physical pain? Did it mark you in any way? No to both, but it could have. |

Did it happen as a result of something you did? Did you make it happen? Could you have avoided it? |

RECAP: Twice?! Once I can understand, but twice?! The same thing happened to me twice within a week. It wasn't improbable for it to happen twice, just unfortunate. It annoyed me and scared me. It happened under the same circumstances each time, and happened at home. It was a distinct event that happened each time. It didn't cause me any physical pain or mark me in some way, but it could have. I couldn't have avoided it happening. |

I've decided that any puzzler that doesn't know me in real life would need to find out too much information to figure this out. So, here's the *************SPOILER************* When I lived in Egypt, our house was invaded by ants. Not just any ants, though, oh no. These were red ants. Giant, flying red ants. Twice, I was reading in my room on my bed, and twice, an ant landed on my arm!!! Fortunately, I flicked them off before any harm was done. So, yeah. Incidentally, they were coming in through one of the bathrooms (it was painted all in red-talk about ironic), and we had poison in there to kill them. My mom would go in and sweep up literally dozens of dead ants each day. Yeah. New puzzle will be up soon! It'll probably be a neologism, my neologisms tend to go quickly. Jane, who did ALL of the work on this puzzle, gets the shiny gold star! |

In our hot & humid climate, we have roaches, aka Palmetto bugs. We put out bait for them, so the ones we see are usually either dead or poisoned. A healthy roach will run and hide when you turn the light on, but a sick one will do almost anything. Gakkk! I've never had any run over my bod, but there could be a first time. |

Yikes... I remember Palmetto bugs from last year in Myrtle Beach. Creepy things. |

Yeah - and now I have had one on my body. Fell off of the ceiling on my back. I jumped and shook it off and ran to get a flyswatter. When they crawl, I can live with it. I don't like it, but I can endure it. But when they fly - and when they light on me - it's too much! Creepy indeed1 |
