Well, now that that's been corrected, I see why 'crust' shouldn't be taken literally.

Plate tectonics relevant? Did you mistakenly compare it to a pizza crust? A pie crust? Bread crust? Some other kind of edible crust?

Did you think that the Earth's crust was thicker than it really is? thinner? made of a different material?

Did you not know that the crust existed? Did you think it was in a different place? Crusts of other planets relevant? Other parts of the Earth relevant?

Did you think that the the crust doesn't exist at the bottom of oceans? This as well

When I was younger (5-7), I didn't understand how Earthquakes worked because I thought the Earth's crust was above us. I was watching the news when it suddenly dawned on me, we were actually on top of the Earth's crust, only then did I finally understand how Earthquakes worked.
