Although Jeremy did not think that taking care of his hair was much work, he shaved his head because he was lazy. How come? | ||

Did he completely shave his head? Or partially? Does it have to do with something else his head could be used for, other than a place for hair to grow? Did it save him having to explain something? Did he shave it so that hair could grow back, or in a particular way? Or did he intend to keep it shaved permanently? Or on a temporary basis (Weeks? Months? Years?) Anything to do with his appearance? Nationality? Race? Gender? Career? | ||

Is the colour of his hair relevant? The length of it before he shaved it? Does he work in a school? University? Does he teach? Lecture? Conduct experiments? Is he involved in science? Arts? Does he resemble a specific person? Is it more that people might assume something about him based on his hair? That he would fit a certain stereotype? Is there a particular event that he has his head shaved for, and allows it to grow back after? Is he trying to make a point of any kind? Does shaving his head allow him to avoid explaining something? But as the end of June neared, he still had not completed the work. So he shaved his head before going to the professor and asking for another extension, because he hoped that the professors would assume that he was undergoing chemotherapy. Jeremy should have taken a course instead with a wonderful professor like me, who respects students' privacy & never asks why students want extra time. Any student who wants an extension automatically gets it in my courses. And anyone who wants a new puzzle should scroll down to the bottom of the page. |
