Did she knit it for herself, or for someone else? Would she have done the same if it had been a pullover? |

Was she aiming to destroy the cardigan? Remove something from the sleeve? Get hold of the wool? Put something in the cardigan? Did she know when she made the cardigan that she would later cut the sleeve open? |

Did she know she had cut it? Was the cardigan returned to her afterwards? The other relevant girl - does she know Madeleine? The daughter? Did she ever see the cardigan? Wear it? Was the object sewn in to the cardigan visible once it was sewn up? Was it hard? Soft? Made of fabric? Metal? Plastic? Wood? Was it a button? |

Were the girls fighting? Playing together? this Did the daughter cause an accident? yope Did Madeleine give the cardigan to the cousin to make up for her daughter's actions? yesish To placate someone who was angry about what had happened? no To punish her daughter? yes Nice work, Enjay! Time for the ********SPOILER******** Two little girls (Let's call them Patty and Selma) were playing together. The older one, Patty, knew how to do a somersault and wanted to teach Selma how to do it. She thought it'd be a good idea to hold Selma's arm in place while she rolled over... Turned out to be a pretty bad idea because Selma broke her arm. As a punishment for Patty and a consolation for Selma, Patty had to give her cousin her new cardigan. Her mother cut open one of the sleeves and sew in a zipper so that it would fit over the cast. (The two girls are my mother and her cousin, and Madeleine is my grandma.) New puzzle will be up right away, and please don't neglect my other two long-running puzzles (: |
