In one of Japanese animated shows (called anime), it was believed that a girl would destroy the world when she turns sixteen. To prevent this, people constantly tried to kill her before she turns sixteen. Yet, despite this, her two traveling companions were earnestly trying to ensure that she lives. Why is this? |

Welcome to the forum, Tiena! Are her companions human (it's anime, you never know...)? adult? male? Would her two travelling companions have any benefit if she actually destroyed the world? |

Welcome to the forum! If you want to bold text, you can use these <> instead of these []. Or you can do this: \ b { text } (minus the spaces) Was the belief correct? Was the belief because of a prophecy? |

Did her traveling companions want the world to end? Did they want to die? Would they, in fact, have died if the world had ended? Would she? Would all three of them have gone to some sort of "heaven"? Relevant why the girl wanted to destroy the world? Or do I have a FA, and she would destroy the world unintentionally? |

Was there another prophecy that would allow her to not destroy the world? Or that would allow the world to survive? |

Does the girl know about the prophecy? does she want to destroy the world? Does she think she will be able to avoid destroying the world once she is 16? Do her travel companions know about the prophecy? if so: did they learn about it before the girl? did they tell the girl about it? Do they want to disprove the prophecy? Do they think that it would be logically impossible that the girl destroys the world? because this would require that she also destroys herself, as she is a part of the world, too? Did the prophecy say she would destroy the world in a particular way? could "destroying the world" mean in the context of this story something else, and not "putting an end to the existence of the universe as we know it"? Would killing her not prevent the world from being destroyed? because the world would get destroyed 16 years after her birth anyway, even if she's dead by then? Did already her birth trigger something that would eventually result in the destruction of the world? Relevant who made the prophecy? when it was made? |

Can this story in any way be classified as SciFi? Time travel relevant? worm holes? singularities? relativity theory? (i.e. like for instance, the world would get destroyed but on Earth time would pass infinitesimally slow so that nobody ever would experience this moment) |
