So his gig would be to sit in a chair, have children sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas? Had he been arrested for molestation? Accused of it? Apologies in advance to anyone offended by this question (it does reinforce a stereotype), but was he a Catholic priest? |

Did his role include .. .. to talk to children? .. to say ho-ho? .. to hold little children on his arms? .. to play with children? .. to distribute things? .. to touch/hold/feed animals? .. to sing? The thing that qualified him to be the best one for the job - did he mention it in the interview? was it true? did the interviewer believe him? or did he think this guy is pulling his leg? |

By Tim A. Dowd (Bodo): So his gig would be to sit in a chair, have children sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas? Yes Had he been arrested for molestation? Accused of it? No, nothing that severe. Apologies in advance to anyone offended by this question (it does reinforce a stereotype), but was he a Catholic priest? No. By Jens Weber (Sundowner): Did his role include .. .. to talk to children? .. to say ho-ho? .. to hold little children on his arms? .. to play with children? .. to distribute things? .. to touch/hold/feed animals? .. to sing? See Bodo's question above. The job was to play the role of Santa, and have children sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. The thing that qualified him to be the best one for the job - did he mention it in the interview? Yes was it true? Yes did the interviewer believe him? Yes - he even presented evidence or did he think this guy is pulling his leg? |

Did he live in Lapland? Had he been a Santa before? Had he ever been in trouble with the law in any way? You say above that evidence was presented - what sort of evidence would this be: a picture? certificate? video footage? recorded conversation? statements from former employers? statements from other people? Was he famous, and so couldn't be Santa as the children would recognise him? |

No to these You say above that evidence was presented - what sort of evidence would this be: a picture? certificate? video footage? recorded conversation? statements from former employers? statements from other people? The last, he was able to list a number of references for the interviewers, though they were not past employers. Was he famous, and so couldn't be Santa as the children would recognise him? Nope. |

Were these references from actual children? Did they claim that "he sees me when I'm sleeping, and knows when I'm awake...." Or some other reference that would give him Santa like qualities? |

By Drew Sollenberger (Sollen): did he have SO much experiance that he should be good for the job; accpet he was now extreamly old? No, his age only factored in b/c it made them fear he may not be able to handle the rigors of the job. has he been playing santa for years without being payed; which made him seem strange of suspicious? No By Sam Carroll (Greenboi): Were these references from actual children? No, but you may want to explore... Did they claim that "he sees me when I'm sleeping, and knows when I'm awake...." Or some other reference that would give him Santa like qualities? No |

There used to be a sort of amusement park out here in Santa Cruz called Santa's Village--there's still a road called Santa's Village Lane or something like that, but the park has been closed for years. Three guesses what the theme of the park was... Had he been in a mental institute/asylum of some kind? Is his (claimed) previous job experience relevant? Other previous experience? Hobbies? His previous place of residence? |

Kind of like that Peter Pan guy (don't know if you've seen/heard about him, he's a fiftyish guy who dresses like Peter Pan and otherwise emulates him--he used to have a web site, I haven't looked lately)? |

By Tommy Petersson (Tommyp): The relevant "previous experience", was that in some kind of organization? No Has he expressed some atheistic thoughts? is he playing/singing metal? No By Ed Mason (Logician): Is the phrase 'Merry Xmas' relevant? 'Happy Holidays'? 'Season's greetings'? No, no particular phrases are very relevant. |
