Is is a matter of their safety? Their health? Will they profit materially from this? Do they specifically want the furniture in the street? Or just out of the lawn? |

"on his lawn" - the "his" refers to Bill? Sal? "tossing his lawn furniture into the street" - same question Each reference refers to the owner's own property Any third person(s) involved? Yes Is someone going to come by and collect the furniture? No Is the furniture under threat from something in the garden? No Mutant furniture eating earth worms? No - by the way, wasn't this the title of a 1960's SciFi flick? If not, it should have been... Does "Shortly after going out to investigate, Bill joins Sal in the activity." mean Bill is now throwing is own furniture or he join Sal to throw Sal's furniture away? Don't get too hung up on the use of "his", it doesn't really matter. The way it is intended here is that each man throws his own furniture. From the title of this puzzle "Anger Management" are Sal & Bill both angry FA about:- something ? someone ? an event ? Still FA which causes them to react this way? No, they aren't acting this way because of anger |

Should we be trying to discover more details about the furniture? Or is it enough to assume outdoor chairs/tables/lounges etc.? Are they labo(u)ring under a misapprehension of some sort? Sharing a misunderstanding? Is there any sort of pun involved? The trigger for Sal's behavio(u)r--something he heard? Read? Saw? Smelled? Touched? Tasted? |
