Was their endeavour work related? Were their endeavours related - joint project? Did they belong to a circus? Do we need to find out why he refused to take the drug? |

So he wants to gain weight (or become stronger) and she wants to lose weight? And they were supposed to try some herbal therapy for this? Was this because they agreed to get engaged only if this happened? |

Did he refuse to take the drug because she didn't lose enough weight (or visa versa)? If not was his refusal as an objection to her in some way? Did he have some objection about the herbal drugs? Was his refusal due to something else? |

Was he supposed to become strong enough to perform a particular task ? a task that is a part of a ceremony ? a task that is a part of a job ? Is the exact task relevant at all ? its general nature ? Is it a one-time task ? A task that needs to be performed many times ? Is "carrying the bride over the threshold" relevant ? |

So, when the time came, he failed to lift her? Therefore, they didn't get engaged/married? Is this "lifting" some kind of a cultural tradition? Are any of these relevant: their culture? nationality? race? religion? geographic location? Was he trying to prove his worthiness to marry her? Was he trying to prove it to her? her family? friends? others? |
