the man hit by the egg not see the egg coming? No, the person 'hit' by the egg did indeed see the egg coming
the man touch the point of impact and believe that the egg was some part of his innards leaking out? No

So the egg never came into contact with Lennie?

Is it relevant what it broke against? Lennie's car, maybe? Or someone else's car for which Lennie was responsible?

Is Lennie a nome*?

*The kind from the Oz books.

So the egg never came into contact with Lennie?
That is correct

Is it relevant what it broke against? Yes, but it will not be hard to figure out since we know what was going on...
Lennie's car, maybe? No
Or someone else's car No
for which Lennie was responsible? No
Is Lennie a nome*? Now while I am quite knowledgeable about Sat morning cartoons, I am not versed in the Oz books, so if a 'nome' means anything other than a regular human being, then that term does not apply to Lennie

The Nomes appeared in some of the Oz books (I think they first appeared in the book about Dorothy's first return visit). They were deathly afraid of chicken eggs--eggs were very poisonous to Nomes.

Did it break against George's partner in the toss?

Against someone else participating in the toss?

Is there anything special about the person against whom it broke (assuming it broke against someone)?

Elvis? The Queen of England? The Pope? The Dalai Lama? Some celebrity or other? The term 'celebrity' is closest, but would only loosely be used to describe this person

Someone close to Lennie No, no real connection to Lennie
who is deathly allergic to albumin? N/A

Did Lennie have a bet on? Was it surprising that the catcher (Filbert? Howie? Millicent?) didn't catch the egg?

I suppose we should ask the SBQs about the catcher (male, female, adult, alive etc.)?

Was it surprising that the catcher (Filbert? Howie? Millicent?) didn't catch the egg? FA - the egg was, in fact, caught. As far as this being a surprise, no it wasn't

I suppose we should ask the SBQs about the catcher (male, female, adult, alive etc.)?
The catcher has everything in common with the tosser

This is an impressive list, but the catcher was not anyone who would be known by their name, and 'celebrity' is not the best word to be used for them, it only loosely applies.

The catcher was an athlete? Musician? Religious figure? Royalty? None of these
Actor? This, again, only loosely would be used to describe the person, but it does somewhat describe them

So, if I'm following this...
George and Howie the Clown are partners in an egg toss game. Goerge threw the egg to his partner Howie. Lennie is a bystander, watching this. Lennie dies of shock.

This is a "standard" egg toss game, correct? (2 rows of partners, partners throwing an egg back and forth to each other, taking a step back when your egg is caught, ...) Is it a contest? relevant? Are anyone other than George and Howie tossing eggs? Were there others and George and Howie are the last ones left in the game?
Howie caught the egg? didn't catch it? tried to catch it but it broke?
Is the fact that Howie is a clown relevant?
Is there a wager involved here?
Was Lennie so shocked that Howie didn't catch the egg that he had a heartattack?

Relevant? It is relevant to know the conditions around Lennie, yes
Was the egg's shell painted? Some kind of artwork? Does not matter - the best assumption is that it was an egg straight out of the chicken
