Did the cat starve?
Did the event that hospitalized the woman occur during sex? Afterward?
Cigarettes involved? Bedsheets? Birth control?

Did the cat die before/after/during the lovemaking? Were any objects involved in its death?

There's not enough left to let this one go on.

******** SPOILER *********

This puzzle is based on the following true story:
"This is so embarrassing. We had never done that before, and now she's in the hospital, and my cat's dead" (said a name-withheld New York City man in January, after he and a neighbor decided to have sex but then accidentally ignited a comforter with a candle, starting a major fire in his apartment). [New York Daily News, 1-15-05]

Thanks everyone.
