Silly puzzle, huh? They must be contagious... Was she delayed at the train station? Before getting to the train station? At her place of work? Somewhere else? When she found the hamster, was she...at work? on her way to the train station? somewhere else? on another type of transportation? Did she see her hamster on TV? (like the Far Side cartoon - "Hey Hank, ain't that your dog attackin' the President?") |

In USian, a mud room is a small-ish room, usually off the back or side exterior door, where someone coming into the house can shed muddy or wet boots or shoes, and coats and umbrellas and such stuff as they don't want to track through the house. It's safe to think of it as a very utilitarian version of the foyer or entrance hall. Slightly below eye level is closest -- was he on an item of furniture? a table? a counter? a bar? a barstool? a chair? the TV? a chest of drawers? a cabinet? |

***RECAP*** Mandy is a normal female human adult. Ususally quite punctual, she was on occasion late for something (which is to be discovered). Had she been 15 minutes earler to somewhere 9to be discovered) she would have gotten on a train and died in a crash involving that train. Mandy was late to this place for a reason involving her hamster who was found on something, and which had done something in a room in Mandy's house (all of which are to be discovered). |

So, the hamster shredded the money, she was delayed in buying a taxi ride to the train station because of this, she was late to the station, but the train she would have taken had an accident. Whew! Did I miss anything/get anything wrong? |

So, the hamster shredded the money, she was delayed in buying a taxi ride to the train station because of this, she was late to the station, but the train she would have taken had an accident. Whew! Did I miss anything/get anything wrong? no... ************SPOILER************ Mandy was due to catch a train the London for a meeting and needed a taxi to get to the station. Upon waking she went into her study where she had left cash by the hamster cage as a reminder to feed him. The little beggar had somehow escaped and like most hamster/gerbils etc, eaten the nearby paper source (n this case the money for the train). This meant she had to instead catch a bus to the station and she was late for her train by 15 minutes and therefore had to wait until the next one. Luckily for Mandy, the train she was due to get derailed causing a very nasty accident in which she would he most likely died! Thankyou to everyone for playing |
