Tony stole the equivalent of 4400 GBP from a bank but was only charged with taking the equivalent of 3200 GBP. The cops knew he took the 4400 and so did the judge and the jury. |

Was this a typical hold-up (Tony walks into bank, demands money, displays weapon, is handed money, leaves)? If not, which of these elements is inaccurate: Entering bank? Walking into bank? Demanding money (vocally, via note)? Displaying weapon? Being given money? Leaving? Was he armed? Is the type of weapon relevant? Did he leave anything behind at the bank? When he left the bank, did he have in his possession 3200 pounds? 4400? A different amount? did he make it home with any of the loot? All of it? |

Relevant how Tony was caught? Any details of the robbery or the getaway relevant? On the 'yope' above ... is some aspect or characteristic of the gun relevant? Is it a real gun? Was it loaded? Is there something unusual about it? |

Did the bank report that 3200 had been stolen? Was anyone else charged with anything in the crime? Was the bank or some employee(s) thereof involved in something illegal? Taxes relevant? Insurance? Are there any relevant laws we need to discover? Would it have made any significant difference in the case if he'd been charged with stealing 4400 vs. 3200? In the sentence (if found guilty)? |
