Any of these relevant:
A book It's most likely in a book somewhere, yes, but not a specific book that I know of.
A story? yes
A tangible item? yope
An invention? yes-ish
A person no or persons? yes
A custom / practice? Yes. A common practice enters into it, but not in a major way. A much less common practice is much more relevant.

There is more than one relevant location? One principal location, where the situation occurred. One secondary location, mentioned during the situation, and relatively unimportant. You may find out the second location in the course of the puzzle, but not knowing it won't keep you from solving.

Is the most relevant location in the UK No/ Europe Yes /Ireland? No

Is anything supernatural involved? Yes; at least it was claimed so, and would have to be for the story to be true.

More than 2 people involved? Two are directly involved; a third is not directly involved, but is important to the situation; and there is an unknown and unimportant number of others.

More than 10 people involved Very likely, but they fall in the unknown and unimportant category.
