Are they supposed to behave strangely? put it this way - their "behaviour" is not commonly foud among pieces of electrical apparatus. Once you have accepted a rather ludicrous premise, however, their behaviour would not be regarded as particularly strange.

A premise more ludicrous than the idea that pieces of electronic equipment are celebrating something?

Are these pieces of equipment used for entertainment? or for serious purposes? Is the use of such equipment primarily passive (as with a television)? or active (as with a personal computer)?

A premise more ludicrous than the idea that pieces of electronic equipment are celebrating something? No - that is the premise to which I referred. In that context, then, their behaviour is not strange at all. Sorry for being confused :(

Are these pieces of equipment used for entertainment? for the most part, yes or for serious purposes? but sometimes this Is the use of such equipment primarily passive (as with a television)? this is pretty close or active (as with a personal computer)? not really. It may help to say here that these "pieces of equipment" should be considered more as components of a system than as devices in their own right.

Well, at least it's Friday afternoon (again)...

Home Theather components relevant? Hi-fi components?
Are these components usually found in people's homes? offices? both? outside?

Are these components used for the sound they give? some visual entertainment? both? for stimulating other senses?

Are these components used for the sound they give? some visual entertainment? both? this one for stimulating other senses?

And to clarify, these are components that people watch and listen to directly? and not things that aid the operation of other devices that people watch and listen to?

Are they antennas? strictly speaking, no - they are antennae. But since it is wonderful to see you back on the forum, and since you can't help talking funny, we will give you a "yes" :)
